In actual fact, he got the votes, but technically lost since his candidacy was not fully legit... A lesson to all politicians... Sort out all intra-party issues prior to elections.

LP's biggest issue remains their fire brigade approach and poor foundation prior to the general elections... They should sort these out before the next elections. They now have the platform and the trust of the people, especially the youth.
