charlesemeka85:I know some players who are not even popular that made money in far east and living fine after retirement, for instance Kareem Ahmed of old Kwara united moved from Norway to Iran and made it….so Nwakili would have made enough money if he is not ambitious as a footballer |

Kog45: He might not have made money as big as the footballing Superstars, but for a young man in Nigeria that was earning over 10,000 pounds every week for five years, I believe, that is beyond the dreams of many footballers and workers in Nigeria. |

Meliforme:He was as a youth player, but certainly not among the best in the business as a professional,at least on paper. He might later attain such height, but he need to step up and play in top leagues, not jus in top leagues but in top clubs to be considered among the best in business. Okocha's inability to play in top clubs will always affect his status and ratings as one of the greatest icons in the game expecially when outsiders want to talk about him. |

Austin E and Finidi is a solid choice. Better than all these grade F foreign coaches! Equaveon and Finidi should be giving 5 years contract with full backing! |

With a statement on their official website, French Ligue 1 club Metz have announced the signing of Super Eagles-eligible winger Joel Asoro. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Asoro was the youngest player of Nigerian descent to debut in the English Premier League, aged 17 years and 117 days, when he came on in the 81st minute of Sunderland's 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough on August 21, 2016, before the record was broken by Shola Shoretire (17 years and 19 days) in February 2021. Asoro has secured a permanent transfer to Metz after his impressive displays for Djurgårdens IF, where he directly participated in 34 goals (21 goal, 13 assists) in 96 games across all competitions. The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Metz, keeping him at The Maroons until June 30, 2027 |

komekn:Dear Komekn, With all sincerity from me to you, I think it's high time you stop talking football atleast on this sub-forum. We don't deserve this high level knowledge of yours. The height of the knowledge is a team that Enyimba will beat comprehensively and player was/is going there. Your knowledge of the game is way ahead of anyone here and I give it to you. |

Marjoribanks:Or Finidi and Amuneke 3yrs contracts with option to extend to 5yrs instead. Eguaveon have been tried several times without success. Enyeama self looks like someone who can do well as goal keeper coach if he decides to pursue coaching career |

Failed how? At AFCON, he won all the group stage matches playing entertaining football despite the absence of Oshimen and an inform Dennis. Goalkeeper and a red card cost us at the 2nd round. Against Ghana, his two most valuable midfielders then (Iwobi and Ndidi) were out due to red card and injury. Despite that we could have easily won the first leg (Aribo and Simon chances). For the return leg, Bonke got injured and Onyeka got could only play 45 minutes. That is 4 midfielders missing more than 45 minutes of action against a Ghanaian full strength team yet did not lose the game! Portugal with its full team almost lost to the Ghanaians at the World cup. Football is not just about emotions but fine details and understanding situations and perspectives. Respect Austin E. Look at the Spanish national team. The players resigned from the team cos they don't like the coach but the federation sticked with him. He selected those willing to play and he won. It is high time the Nff employed Austin E. and Finidi and play no minds to the crying public who does not see beyond their noses! Most of these Nigerian journalists are mostly mediocre students at high school level. You could easily see how unintelligent they are in their write ups. The worst students are dragged to art class with the exceptions of those who choose art class cos they want to study law! Napoleon55: |

Marjoribanks:When the so called grade F coaches make selection, it is based on merit and current form. Una go see wonders for team selection with local coaches. We quickly forget where we were before Rohr came. |

Equavoen selection was better than Rohr. Rohr shut the door on Bassey and Nwakali. But Austin extends invites to them. Rohr and Paserio invites were more suspicious than Austin! Facts Truidstar: |

It’s a pity that in this era Nigeria still believes in carpenter foreign coaches .If Finidi with his experienced as a footballer in Europe and with UEFA coaching badge cannot handle Super Eagles then something is wrong with our administration. |
