She's probably passed on and they don't want to see you cope with it poorly or have a relapse of what they knew you went through in the past. You are already giving anyone cause for concern just by your threats and mental state.

Imagine they now tell you she's passed on in this your state. Hmmm.
They are scared stiff of losing you or watch you get sick again.

Just chill for awhile , let your parents know that you are ready to handle the grief it is bad news and get someone your parents respect to talk to them.

However, they owe you accountability. They need to show you the child you abandoned, dead or alive. They owe you that.

I would suggest you calm down, meet the most respected man/woman in your extended family, to come into the situation.

That's far from being irresponsible dear friend. Kids stay or live with their grandparents all the time whether their parents travel abroad or living in the same country with the grandparents. Besides, she was sending money home to them.

How will police help them get her back if she suffers a relapse or bolt away from home again and they never see her again. Omo ku san ju omo so nu lo. Does it not concern you that a mother can travel so far away Togo and kept sending money for the upkeep of her daughter left to the parent? Is the daughter without a father or all the father's family are not alive? Dysfunction is written all over her case and the parents are more stable than her.
Police will only help expose what everyone in the family already knows about her mental health except she wants to quit the denial. Her parents didn't eat or kill the child, that I know she knows and it's clear the parents need help to get over their fears of losing her again
