So what does that teaches us?

God has given those men His Holy Spirit to help them make wise decisions but due to their imperfect condition they sometimes make mistakes.

Therefore what will help sincere observers to know that God is the one behind them?

Jesus said "By their FRUITS"

So if they're meeting up with God's will then there's no reason to doubt the fact that God is working with them.

When Jesus was here flesh and blood working with his disciples they made lots of mistakes and he continued to correct them so after he left them the holy spirit took over yet they're still making mistakes because they are imperfect humans.

But don't think God will take it lightly with anyone who stands against them despite their imperfection "whatever they bind on earth has been bound in heaven and whatever they loosen on earth has been loosened in heaven! Matthew 16:18-19

They are chosen to lead God's people in the endtime so whoever is dwelling on their mistakes will have serious issues with the same God who said:

"Face-to-face I speak to him, openly, not by riddles; and the appearance of Jehovah is what he sees. Why, then, did you not fear to speak against my servant, against Moses?” numbers 12:8

He even did what made God say he will not lead his people into the promised land.

Yet whoever raises his or her voice against Moses Jehovah will deal seriously with such a person.
