Mount shouldn't be tagged as a mistake now. I remember making this mistake with Martinez after our match against Brentford last season.

I already believed Martinez would struggle because of his height. So after that Brentford game, I thought it wouldn't work.

Mount's case is even better. Ten Hag saw something in his play and decided he fits into his plan. Mount also listened to Ten Hag's plan and decided it fits into his abilities. So let's wait and see.

I was saying it in the previous page. Everyone's suddenly developing amnaesia towards things that happened last season.

Try and get my point. We needed the ‘Mount’ money to buy a DM. Mount is completely useless and not better than VDB and McTom.

Out defence has the numbers. We have two players per position. Varane - Maguire, Martinez - Lindelof, AWB - Dalot, Malacia - Shaw. Asides the 8 players, we have two fringe players (Evans and Bailey) and two younglings that are very happy to slot in if necessary. The reason we have 12 defenders is in case some of our starters are injured. A loan move for the LB position makes sense. Anything beyond that is ridiculous.

I get that you don’t want to see OGS and Mou players, but we can’t go buy one more defender per position because we don’t want to see existing players. It will happen gradually and we would need to also sell existing ones.

They prioritized competitions as a result of this. Problem is that was the best we've seen of Arsenal in yearrrrrs. Might be the best we'll see of them in a while. And they ended it trophless.

we played over 10 more games anyways. you comfortably skipped an important factor.

Some of us were complaining long before everything finally scattered because like ETH, Ole refused to fix the core of the problem, which was a much stronger and better midfield. He went with McFred until he got sacked

Which brings us back to the issue of funds.
Hojlund alone wasn't going to suddenly get us scoring tons of goals. We need an extra person that can score and create. Reason we got Mount. We also need another midfielder, and this is where the lack of funds come in.

We'll have to settle for a loan option/cheap deal. Want to contend with City with this?

Why not? If you need 400m and you are given same amount, but you decided to go spend the money prodigally, of course I will be concerned if a player gets injured, not because we did not spend, but because the spender’s brainless spending will affect the squad.
