Hi, i just saw this article today and decided to share my view tho before i started saving i went trough lot of research and write up but this was the write that confuse me, read below.....

WHY I MOVED MY MONEY FROM PIGGYBANK TO COWRYWISE
Please note that both Cowrywise and Piggybank have made changes to their platforms since I wrote this blog post.

You might remember my blog post where I spoke about saving with Piggybank. Well, I have moved the money I saved there to Cowrywise and I want to explain the reasons why; I cannot recommend something, stop using it and then not inform my blog readers. So here are the reasons I moved my money from Piggybank to Cowrywise:

Higher Interest Rate: I am all about making my money work hard for me so this is of course the number 1 reason why I moved my money to Cowrywise. While Piggybank offers an interest of 6% p.a. when using the Autosave option, Cowrywise offers an interest rate of 10% p.a. Cowrywise also pays interest daily which means the effective annual rate of return is actually higher than 10% while Piggybank pays interest every 3 months. And while Piggybank offers an interest rate of up to 10.95% (when you lock the money away for a year) when you using the SafeLock option, Cowrywise offers an interest rate of up to 15% when you lock away your money with them for a year. I could really end here and this would justify why I moved my money.

No penalty on withdrawals: If you read this post I wrote for DailyKobo, you will see that one of my financial goals this year is to increase my emergency fund. It was not something I focused on as much last year because I was paying for ICSAN classes and exams but I have no excuse this year. Therefore, the fact that Cowrywise has no penalty for withdrawing at any time is great because it means I can use the platform to build my emergency fund and know I can have access to it without being penalised if I have to withdraw money because an emergency comes up. While I was using PiggyBank I had to keep my emergency fund in a regular savings account because Piggybank penalises your interest if you withdraw on any day other than 4 set days in each year. An emergency fund has to be extremely liquid and Cowrywise gives me that. I am very disciplined about my savings and investment goals so I am not worried that having no penalty on withdrawals will cause me to withdraw my money arbitrarily.
So I get to grow my emergency fund at a faster rate because I am using Cowrywise. P.S. I also prefer the layout of the Cowrywise website over that of Piggybank. Do you use Cowrywise or Piggybank to save? If you do, why did you pick one over the other? I know some people do not like the fact that Cowrywise does not have an app but I do not mind.

Long time mummyz.

Should be almost 5years now since this post.

How is Cowrywise treating you now? Are you still on the platform or you don japa for fear of the unknown, with the ongoing crash of all these fintech platforms?

Fear dey catch me as my money dey inside their dollar mutual funds, to prevent it from depreciation.

I hope it won't crash like this Patricia brouhaha and bulaba.

I don't want no balablu

I make use of both, but cowrywise is better for me, as for piggybank, you might have temptations to withdrwaw from your savings anytime, from my experience so far on both platforms. cowrywise is better...

What's up bro.

Are you still with Cowrywise? How's your experience with them so far?

Do you still think they're trust worthy, considering the current state of crash with all these fintech companies?

Advice me bro, cos I got some huge money in my dollar mutual fund account with them.

Thank you.

Kolobox actually offers 12% returns and the interest reflects daily during your plan so it’s transparent and you can see the growth on your money. Withdrawals and cancellation of plans are free.

Your funds are safe and insured with Kolobox because of all the platforms, they’re the only ones that are SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) regulated. So it’s guaranteed that no one is running away with your money.

I guess they know that Nigerians are skeptics when it comes to money so it’s a good way of assurance. Just visit www.kolobox.ng

Shey these ones still dey exist so? This one wey dem no even dey google play store.

Na evidence be that say all these fintechs na just pure nonsense jarey.

I use CowryWise though, and I've had no issues with them.
You can't withdraw anyhow you like. And there's an interest rate of 10.5% P. A
I have no idea of how Piggybank works. But I think it's also reliable, based on the above comments. The Choice is yours.

Thank you.

They are both good. Cowrywise is an investment app, whereas Piggybank is for savings. Piggybank has more features such as safelock, piggy points to name a few and the the interest rate is 10% per annum. Cowrywise I believe does not have all these features however the interest rate is from 10%-15%. And as Cowrywise is an investment, your returns are likely taxable.

I am not speaking from experience or expertise, this is just my opinion. Now you need to due diligence and further research both to make your decision, as only you can make such decisions. A Financial Advisor may come in handy.

All the best with your savings!

Oh that's great to hear, for almost 5years now.

And what do you mean by their high exchange charges? Do you mean the investment in their dollar mutual fund?

I'm happy hearing your experience about Cowrywise, as they're the ones I'm sticking with, they feel safer to me than Piggyvest.

I intend sticking with them for a very long time, and pray they don't disappoint me.

Do you think they'll also be like MMM?

This is quite encouraging. A guy was telling me they're both just an exchange program and collects people's funds, and are more likely to crash than Bitcoin binance.
Re: Piggybank Or Cowrywise by Eife(m): 9:03am On Sep 02, 2023
No it’s not like MMM
It’s a saving platform just as your regular daily banks, but they give you the power to control your own banking experience,
It’s just that you buy dollar at a high rate and when you want to sell
The rate also favors them more than it will favor you
