Since 1975 as a Prime Minister. 48 years in power.

I went to Cameroun in 1986 as a teenager and Paul Biya was the president. Today I am a grandfather and he is still there. Apart from Douala and Yaounde, no development and my ancestor is still holding to power

He isn't the one in charge but french government

Every policies he's implementing are direct rule of the French government.


I don't know about anybody o I see Cameronians as one of the d#mbest people in Africa

Very stupid things

African leaders abused the definition of democracy to the extent that citizens are now celebrating the toppling of the ‘demoncratically’ elected governments by military authorities.

With time, the military across Africa shall band together to prevent the use of its personnel in keeping these despotic leaders in power. Think about it, what premise is an African politician holding powers against millions of its citizens if it wasn’t for the strength of the brutality of its military forces.

Then again, these compromised head of military formations who are presently settled with billions by the civilian governments as hush money should remember that the soldiers who bare arms and ammunitions capable of destructions are the thousands of unhappy personnel scattered across these formations, not the generals or the colonels.

When it’s time to strike, just like Niger Republic, it might be those tasked with the responsibilities of protecting these civilian dictators that would do the bidding of the citizens.

Africans are, unfortunately, incapable of self-governance.

I think Nigeria is far better than many of this country.

How can someone be president for 50 yrs, 30 yrs.. na only him dey the country? Haha

USA France and the rest of them won’t see this one as a dictator despite Cameroon having nothing to show for it. As long as they have their share of the loot, all is well. Ghadaffi who was prospering Libya had to go because he is a dictator who didnt give them his people’s resources. Same with Al Assad in Syria. Same as Iran. As long as you don’t play ball them, your government has to go.

Biya can rule for two life times for all they care.
