African leaders are truly heartless.

And also make sure you vote a candidate whose past achievements in leadership are easily visible and verifiable and not one being promoted via empty noise making, you need to do your homework properly in this regards to penetrate the veneer of competence being presented for all candidates . Make sure also your candidate is sparkly clean when it comes to integrity &corruption and has not been named in any controversial issue like hiding money in offshore tax havens favoured by criminals, is proved to be open in all his policies and avoiding conflict of interest by not investing public money in his care in family business or linked to stolen government money in anyway by association with corrupt aides and assistants,

Ensure also that your preferred candidates is acceptable to all sections of Nigeria and not a religious bigot trying to ride on religious and tribal sentiments to the presidency. Finally try to assess the proficiency of your candidate in economic matters and make sure they are well grounded in the basic economics required and not one just trying to impress with useless facts and data.

I think you would have done your bit for Nigeria if you can try these in addition to the requirements you have stated
