Just post here. I am not on WhatsApp and I live outside NG.

If you can, read as much as you can in this thread.

To get a visit visa approved requires convincing a VO you’d return after the visit and you can financially afford the trip.
You will return because you have a lot going on in Nigeria that is super important you don’t have to remain in the US despite the better opportunities. Good job. Family. Home. Business etc etc here are thriving
You are financially able because you earn enough and have a good savings to pay for the trip (visa fees, flight ticket, hotels, feeding, vex money, spend money, shopping money) without getting stranded.
You have a plan for the visit (what are you doing for the period while in the US). What are your plans for the vacation - places you are going to... etc

Hello sir, I really need your advice I came from my a average family and the student route is very expensive

I would have optin for poland but it's hard to get date , people who applied last year as not gotten date yet

I want to try USA visiting visa because I don't have the money for students route

I have family over there,

Sir what's your intake on me going for visiting visa because I don't have intentions of coming back to Nigeria

I really need your advice because I want to start the process

Hello everyone,

Please I and my husband want to apply for a B1/B2 visa as a family, is this doable or do we apply separately? Do we need one interview date or two? Please advise.

We are just going for vacation.

PS our son is American. Thank you.

You were told by who that you need to wait 3 months? That's incorrect information.

Good morning house,
Please I need advice I’d like to know the procedure for extension of visa. My visa expires in 3 weeks and I’d like to return in December as my sister just had a baby and would require help with the baby.
I applied for drop box prior to my arrival but was told I didn’t qualify for drop box as my visa was still valid for more than 3 months.
Please any advice and recommendations would be appreciated

@sir/Ma it is very correct. Here you go
nterview Waiver (IW) Qualifications

Applicant must possess a full-validity multiple entry visa that expired no more than 48 months ago or it will expire within the next 3 months.

Applicant must be applying for a visa in the same visa classification as the expired/expiring visa.

Applicant must be a citizen or resident of Nigeria.

Applicant must be physically present in Nigeria.

Applicant must dissociate all dependents from their profile and apply for each dependent separately if qualified.

Applicant must not have been refused a visa since the issuance of the previous visa or had a visa revoked or have ever required a waiver.

Applicant must possess all issued passports covering the entire period since receiving the previous visa and the passport with the most recent visa.

Applicant has never been arrested or convicted of any crime or offense in the United States, even if the applicant has later received a waiver or pardon.

Applicant has never worked without authorization or remained beyond their permitted time in the United States.

Applicant (if under 18) meets all the above qualifications. If a parent is not scheduled on the same day, minor must be able to submit a copy of their parent’s valid visa page or copies of their parent’s appointment letters and DS-160

Greetings house,

I would like to appreciate everyone for your cooperation and assistance, this thread has been so informative and I have learnt a lot.

I need info on rescheduling appointments,

have successfully rescheduled twice and I found out I can't ascess the calendar since then. Could it be intentional? and how many times I'm I permitted to reschedule.
Thanks

Hi,
A family member renewed his visa this year via drop box with more than 4 months left. He needed to travel at a particular time and didn't want any stories. Visa was issued
We checked the FAQ (link below), there was a similar question and we didn't see this 3 months rule you have quoted:

Good luck!

Interesting!!

Same way they said you don’t qualify for dropbox if you got your last visa outside nigeria but someone came here to say his Dropbox was renewed and his previous visa was from Ireland. It’s either they overlook some requirements intentionally or some people aren’t just lucky.

Hi Debbie,

Please do you know if it’s possible to do a family visit visa application?

if you qualify for dropbox why not take advantage of it? Also recently people have had to dissociate dependants from their appointment profile for Dropbox but I don’t know if the same applies to regular interview, for clarification you should call the helpline.

Good Morning everyone. I'm Olivia a fashion designer. There is a fashion show going on in the US in a University in March 2024, I have been invited as one of the main designers who will showcase her designs on the runway.

The organizers are the sponsors and are willing to send documents showing proof that I am the main designer, derails of the event and all. On my own, I have questions.

1. What visa category do I apply for? Visitor? Considering I'm going for a business. With my outfits which will also be sold at the venue and I'll be hiring models over there.

2. The organizers are the sponsors for accommodation, and flight. I know I will still show my bank balance which is not a problem, my business registration, etc.

3. I was refused a US visa as a 23 year old in 2016. I was single that time and I applied to go and visit a boyfriend who invited me. I was refused because the officer said she didn't think I'll come back. Now I'm married, and have ZERO plans of living in the US as I'm very comfortable here. Do you think the refusal will affect me?

4. I currently have a 10 year Canadian visitors visa on my passport. Will that help?

5. I have a team, which consists of my head tailor and ny sis who is my manager. They have all not travelled to the US before. Should I include them in this application? If I do, will I show proof of funds for their flight and etc? And a letter explaining Abi make I no include them?

6. I need assistance with booking the interview date by October/November, I can pay for that. If there's any plug please respond.

My dear Nairalanders please help your Sister. God bless you.

Hello house. I’m an immigrant visa applicant. I went for an interview and I was asked to drop off some documents and my passport at dhl. I did as I was asked and it’s been over 2 weeks now. I haven’t heard nothing from the embassy. I’ve been tracking my passport everyday, it still says refused despite that it’s been updated twice. Should I be worried? Plus how long does the embassy make you wait for to get your passport back. It’s taking forever
