The Canadian income tax year is from January 1 to December 31.. hence every January you must file your taxes as long has you have a SIN. Leave naija out of it .

I get you.
My question is would one be expected to file in the naija generated income or would filing as zero be okay?

You need to report your income both in and outside Canada. To avoid double taxation, check if there is a treaty between Canada and Nigeria to deduct any taxes already paid in Nigeria from your tax liability in Canada. Also, for the first year, don’t forget to pro-rate based on when you landed in Canada as a PR.

Thank you for the reply.
From the link,I see Nigeria has a treaty with Canada. Does this mean one only needs to fill out the gross income earned in naija and won't be required to pay any Provincial or federal tax?

once you have paid taxes in Nigeria you won’t have to pay taxes in Canada on same income. Just declare your foreign gross income.

Hello everyone,
I am really confused, our spousal sponsorship visa application was rejected 3 months after submission for the following reason
Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) not
included/missing.
Verify the form version is IMM 1344 06/2019.

How can they tell us IMM 1344 is missing when one cannot submit the spousal sponsorship application online without uploading IMM 1344
The version of the form available online is IMM 1344 (09-2022) E and that's what we submitted, IMM 1344 06/2019 is nowhere to be found
Please can someone help me understand what's going on and the way forward

Heard on the radio today that Canadian Army is recruiting people with PR. Worth looking into it for those who are interested.

Apparently it has been on for months but I only got to know.

Please I need urgent advice from seniors who got their driving extract from Nigeria.
I would like to know if anyone successfully got theirs by applying through the Online portal and paying the 50k naira stated therein.

Or if the best and guaranteed way is to go through FRSC official?

I discussed with an FRSC official, he billed me 80k. I want to know if the online route works so I can save 30k😔.

Need to get the extract before entering Canada next month, so I can easily take the driving test and get my G license
If you’re in using the Abstract in BC, don’t bother using the one FRSC sends online.

My Original Abstract from FRSC website was rejected. According to them they want the manually signed and stamped copy! 50K wasted!!!

ICBC rather preferes forgery! Smh! Highly disappointing, shows they dont verify those things! Because nothing stops them from writing to FRSC to confirm authenticity, but no, they didn’t! Rather wasted 3 months of my time waiting for a feedback from them!

Good day my people and happy new month. Please I want to know if there is anyone that has ever booked for flight on AirFrance or KLM Nigeria website. Is it safe? Cheaper? Better? Or I should go through agents or sites like Wakanow?
Thanks.

Safe Which flight no safe? The plan is to get to your destination in peace! The cheaper the better… But I think none of these airlines are cheap.

If you want cheap, check Egyptair or Ethiopian air

It’s always advisable to book for flights directly from the airline’s website just incase… Even though these third party apps could give good deals.

But when e reach time to refund you, them go deny you the way Judas deny Jesus.

I think he's asking if booking on the site is safe, not if flying with the airline is safe.

Always book through the airline's website. That's always the best option. Booking through agents may be cheaper, but the tickets often come with terms and conditions that are not immediately apparent to you.
