The day I went to collect my renewed passport after paying for express I saw the biggest corruption on earth. All the passports are ready as soon as one capture but they intentionally withheld them only for u to pay 25k express and it will be given almost instantly. I saw not less than 10,000 passports in the glass and if payment is made, they sort yours and you u will be called in.

As I came out and saw crowd waiting effortlessly for their names to be called, till today if I remember that scene, I weep for Nigeria. The new minister need to sack alot to fix the problem.

It's been 7 months now since I applied. Maybe because I refused to pay bribe. Minister please help us wey no fit pay bribe. Immigration office, Festac has really frustrated me.

Passport renewal outside Nigeria is not that stressful like renewing in Nigeria.

Why?
depend . I applied for renewal in Mexico since March. Haven’t gotten it till now. Suggested I pay to fast track it to Jamaica, because they don’t have printing unit or what ever . Or I wait for two months. Till now I haven’t gotten it

I actually did some Tim back at ikeja Lagos and I paid online too... But like u said na Nigerians de frustrate d process.. cos na officials go wan go collect bribe and some pple na Dem de pass corner to get it quick by paying bribes

When I did my passport in 2006 I paid 21k but on the receipt I saw 6k.. those people are armed robbers

Most of the persons who have commented have spoken either optimistically or pessimistically and you can't blame the latter. The last decade has seen passport collect seem like a Herculean task.
But what else do we have if all hope is lost? For that reason alone I believe that the sheriff will actually bring about a new dawn.

You need your passport in quick time? You go have to put hand for pocket and bribe an officer weh go make am happen.

That way, them go first process the passports submitted by those officers weh their clients dun put small thing for their pocket.

Una weh no pay officers to help una, una passport go deh back back, untill them dun finish the passports of those weh bribe officers.

I paid 55k for pp renewal yet the idiot said I've to wait 8 weeks, I was like didn't I pay you to fast track it, then he said he only helped me with that amount that normal amount for pp renewal is 65 to 70k...Those ppl are second to police..

Useless system. It took a month for me to capture for renewal at ikoyi. Now since I captured on June 5th till now it's still not ready. I'm even begging them to charge me again so I can take the passport but all I'm hearing is it will soon be ready for over 3 months now. This one just dey knack teeth for nothing undecided

8 weeks and ur complaining... Mine is past 3 months since capturing even though I paid for it to be fast. My only regret is not traveling down to my state to run it. It wouldn't even take up to a week using my contacts in Benin but here I dey beg them with money and yet nothing is happening

Nigerian public officials are crooks same thing pple in marriage registry do... You pay beyond official money... A man said he paid online and they frustrated him... Before he marriage was conducted... How many places ll the minister be to ensure he match words with action... Pple wey govt de pay salaries extorting Nigerians... When I applied for passport at ikeja around early 2021 it was a seamless process paid online... Went to ikeja office submitted documents did capturing and within a week passport was ready I came and collected... Some pple didn't believe I didn't pay beyond the 25k official price for the new five years validity one I did which is 25 page...
