The court requires sufficient time to seat. And even nature abhors a vacuum.

Except if you want us to be conducting elections 6/12 months to the handover. And this also, can throw up issues. A winner waiting a whooping 6/12 months before taking up the mantle. I do not think any country does that!

Kindly note also, that the court of first instance is not the final arbiter of election disputes. It will still go from there to a higher Court for Appeal.

For Presidential election ,its own Tribunal is the Appeal Court, and then goes from there to the Supreme court (the process to final Supreme court verdict may take up to 9months).
For gubernatorial, the cases starts at the Tribunal, to the Appeal and then finally to the Supreme court (the process may take up to 12months)
For legislators, the cases starts at the Tribunal and ends at the Appeal court. (may take up to 9months).

is there tribunal in America?

I hope a random tweet isn't what LP will present to the judges as evidences.

What I simply asked for was spread, not winning margins. Infact, let's assume Obi had 2m votes in each of the 11 SE & SS states. Let's further assume he had 2m each in Lagos, Nasarawa, Plateau,Kogi, Benue, Taraba, & FCT while the other candidates had zero in all of these 18 states. He still needs 25% in 6 more states to satisfy spread requirement. Let's assume SW's liberality even gave him all of the Votes in Ekiti and Ondo, those are the 2 SW States with highest Christian population. Still 4 to go cheesy

To think Obi can have 50k people (if only 200k people voted) to vote for him in each of Osun, Ogun, Oyo, Kwara, Niger, Bauchi, Gombe is nothing but delusion of the highest order. I'm glad we both agreed on the 7 NW states. cheesy

Get this imprinted somewhere in your heart, nobody can ride ethnic/religious train to Aso rock. Those who drafted the constitution were smarter.
This exactly was what the smarter candidates knew that made them go into negotiations in all zones.
Wike working for APC is part of the negotiations. He wasn't asked to rig. Remember same Wike was your favourite when he was romancing Obi.

The analysis above is just the best case scenario for Obi. He can't have 25% in Ekiti and Ondo. Was just trying to see if we would reach 24 states.

He would definitely be required to prove that he had 25% in 24 states before his prayer of being declared can be granted. That's after he must have proven that the declared winner and the first runner up had lesser lawful votes than him.

EU report detailing violence and alleged rigging not certified.

Section 104(1) of the Electoral Act mandates that a secondary evidence must be validated by the author of the document or certified with his initials on the footnotes "Certified by me."

It is therefore not admissible in Court.
In situations where irregularities, non-voting, fraud, widespread violence, voters suppression, the allegations have to be tied to polling units, wards and with figures.

The paragraph is vague, too generic and lacking in particulars.

Tinubu don win dis one. I think LP and PDP should chill after this, no need dragging the case any further. They already messed up by not forming a strong opposition against APC right from the beginning. It is difficult to remove a ruling party without merging.

Since the petitioners did not file the about 18000 Polling Units and Wards where the alleged corrupt practices took place within the constrained 21 days along with the petition, the said documents are inadmissible before this Court.

The claims of 18,000 blurred result sheets from IREV by the petitioners is unfounded. In any case, they had agents in the PU’s, wards, LG’s, states and the National collation centers.

Sentiment aside, Obi's lawyer seems very dull at what they did! They were not smart. One thing is to know the law, another thing is to understand how to use the law against your opponent. This is where Wole Olanipekun stand out..

That being said, Obi himself messed up the whole case from the beginning; He said we won the case and we'll prove it in court. E reach court, he couldn't prove how he won! He couldn't prove anything different from the original results!

You can hear the judge saying... Petitioner claimed his votes were reduced but didn't state numbers nor polling units. It's a total bullshiiit honestly!

The moment his lawyers got to know there was nothing to prove at all, (tho they can't tell Obi cuz they have to get paid) they resulted to disqualification - they'd be like, *make e no be like say we didn't do anything*

This case was the easiest case Olanipekun had come across. Atiku Vs Buhari was more detailed & thick than this..

It's a walkover for Tinubu.
They made it so easy for the Judges.

Obi lawyers are gross ignoramus — 144 times worse than an ordinary ignoramus.

How do you expect LP to file that when the electoral umpire which is INEC keeps frustrating them

We know what we mean when we say that the Nigerian state have been criminally captured by criminals involving in criminal state capture

We were witnesses to how INEC, an independent umpire were behaving like a member of the ruling APC at PEPT
