What use it if I have an income of N450k monthly and because of our soup preferences, it costs my wife N18k to make the soup, my reality and his is not the same, so he has nothing to learn from me.

Ehn.. when you drop your 18k suggestion and another person drops his 10k and like that with the third, he'll be able to gauge and tell where his financial capacity falls, from everyones suggestions and settle for the one that suits his income.
Better than not having any idea and just spending blindly.

I guess all these is to avoid sitting down with the wife and discussing it as it may make him feel emasculated, he just want to drop money based on what he had been told outside.

Well.. that's how he chose to run his home. By the way, if you check from the few suggestions we have already, you'll see that 75% of the estimate given are the same. The difference is not much. So... It's a fairly good guide to work with.

Majority of the people getting married now are kids, what type of question is this from a supposed married man?

Are you sure your friend was not forced to get married at all cost?

Ask your wife the amount she will need to cook both of your desired soup 🍲 and give her the money...

My own part, if my wife ask me what soup she should cook, I simply tell her whatever she cook is fine by me, I don't have preference, she calculate the amount and I hand over the money to her even with extra change self...

My advice for you is to make sure you buy food stuff and put at home, it will reduced the cost of cooking soups 🍲.

How much do you value the soup of your choice, if your woman is a good cook, give her 15k and above so she can prepare enough for up to two weeks, if you have a good freezer and steady power supply, the soup will last close to a month.
