PaulH07: Im not sure its the same track o, or maybe it was extended, not sure. This is the red line and its tracks are new. The reason sanwo olu was able to do it fast is because most of its tracks are on the ground. Few routes above ground, so not like the blue line that is mostly above ground. You can search 'red line' on twitter and see all the videos of the track. It doesnt look like the old one. 1 Like

Before you start spewing nonsense as usual about how Africans are cursed, know that people rush to board the London underground or the NYC subway especially during rush hours. 10 Likes |

Sanwo-Olu really tried for finishing this blue line whilst constructing the red line at the same time. I'm sure Ambode will be regretting his decision to abandon this laudable and highly impactful project. Phase one of the red line starts from Oyingbo and terminates at Agbado. The second Phase will head to Marina from Oyingbo, thereby linking the red line with the blue line. The phase one is 90% ready. leanonme82:No new track is laid for red line. It will share track with the federal govt's standard gauge. Lagos state only built the stations and the level crossing bridges for vehicles. |
Re: Lagosians Rush To Board Lagos Blue Line Rail Train In Marina (Video) by leanonme82: 10:55pm On Sep 08, 2023 |
PaulH07: Okay so i got it now. If you look at the map, theres a grey train line next to the red line. Dts the old line that goes all the way to abeokuta, ibadan and then kaduna. The one Buhari did. I think the red line uses parts of the old track at those points. So the grey line doesnt stop at lagos stations like the red line. From Iddo, its next stop is agege, then abeokuta and ibadan. But the red line will make stops at lagos stations, then extend to marina and to the airport. 4 Likes

leanonme82: I love Lagos, if you're okay with the menace these guys cause on our roads then you're part of the problem. I couldn't care less about Abuja because I no longer live there. I live in Lagos and Lagos must get better. Before you start convulsing my earlier statement wasn't borne out of tribalism. Lagos' problems aren't particular to Lagos, almost every state in Nigeria has same issues but for Lagos to get to where we want it to, it must continue to set the pace. |

iLoveYouToo:E get where Agbero no dey? Lagos is the most populous state in Nigeria. It's also the richest. You would expect such a state to attract all kinds of people. Normal, abnormal, hoodlums, all kinds, and in their numbers too. It is what it is. Fingering random people as being part of the problem is just hypocritical. People give birth to children they can't cater for everyday in Lagos, these children grow up to be a menace to the society. Will you also blame random people for that? Or even the government? We need to own up to our faults as citizens too abeg. And yes, you sound tribalistic already. Cos you make it sound like it's a Lagos thing. I can already tell you hate Tinubu. And I can tell you voted against Sanwo Olu in the last election, so reaccess yourself. Do you truly just want Lagos to be better, or you only want it to be better under a leader or group of leaders of your choosing 9 Likes 1 Share |

Nice one. Hope the line is extended overtime to other routes eg This is an example of a viable project that will make huge profits and fund it's maintainance, service any loans and pay for it's expansion. Eg Abeokuta Expressway, through oshodi, through musihin to Yaba etc to link up. Once again, nice one from lasg. It is unlike an airport hat was topic of discussion few weeks ago, built by a governor of (if I remember right) ebonyi state. Where no aircraft has landed since the commissioning of the facility. It was alledged lizards and grass has taken over the place. The anambra airport on the other hand is a viable one. The Abuja metro from the airport is also an example of a non viable project as discussed last week on this forum. 3 Likes 1 Share |
