Yesterday, Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar had also demanded some explanation from the Presidential Election Petitions Court, surrounding the header on the Certified True Copies of the Judgement.

Speaking through his aide, Phrank Shaibu, the former Vice President inquired to know why Tinubu Presidential Legal Team (TPLT) are been accorded special privileges.

Abubakar's enquiry came hours after a member of the TPLT, Babatunde Ogala SAN offered some clarification.

Consequent upon the revelation that Certified True Copies (CTC) of the recent judgment by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) had an imprint, “Tinubu Presidential Legal Team” (TPLT) as its header, Nigerians are curious about such happenstance that has inevitably generated storm and controversy.

The Labour Party was very disturbed by the delay in releasing the judgment expeditiously, only to be confronted with this befuddlement.

The public is equally at pains trying to comprehend what is happening.

The onus of explaining and dousing the unfolding controversy rests on the PEPC and the TPLT, the imprint owners. Clearly, the header is not a watermark. We note that only some of the petitioners receivecd the same version.

In a highly contentious case with dire national interest and implications, confirming that the PEPC did not confer any advantage, rights, or privileges to any party is imperative. This development must be cleared up quickly to avoid conjectures and the belief that something untoward happened. This cannot be the case of another glitch.

The unsigned and undated statement issued puportedly by a senior counsel on behalf of the Tinubu Legal Team is misconceived and empty. The senior counsel claimed that the header is a watermark! It is not and can never be. Typically, a watermark is a faint imprint or design made on some papers during production and which can be seen when held up to the light. It helps in checking the genuineness of the paper.

The senior counsel is responsible for unsubstantiating his claims and should not pass the buck to innocent parties. We of the Labour Party place it on record that the counsel who collected the judgment on behalf of our party and our candidate did so long after a representative of Tinubu Legal Team.

Meanwhile, we call on the PEPC and APC to come clean on the CTC imprint and disclose whose imprimatur is inscribed on the entire judgment. Nigerians deserve the right to know and are demanding urgent answers.

The tribunal judges and APC lawyers were so confident in their criminal activities that they forgot to thread with caution.

How can a justice be asking petitioner's if they expect them judges to be moved by threats from social media.🤦🏾 Was it LP or Obi that threatened judges on social media. The other justice was defending INEC and APC asking why APC got less votes in eastern states .
The other one was defending the Vice president saying his double nomination wasn't intentional. Absurd!!!

It was very obvious those judges didn't write what they were reading and they weren't even concerned about cross checking before reading the judgement.

I expect supreme court to give a clear and lawful judgement because anything they say becomes law in Nigeria.

They will never learn ... can you just imagine, of all issues to tackle

Why are these people acting like a todler? Is this what opposition has reduced to? And do you think court of appeal in their lowest thinking capacities will make such mistakes when it is not only 10 person working and printing the documents same time. And they also have all the party reps there also. Instead of them start restrategizing to grab more power from state house of assembies to federal in order to solidify their strength, they are busy doing busy body. When the election days are close by, they will be relaying on social media statistics to win election.
Just wait until 2027 election time is close, atiku PDP will still do LP shege and betray them, sebi th3y are following them upadan bow, something that shoyuld have happened pre election and drop all their egos.
Now i believe that they dont have anything to offer than to thinking of grabbing power through all means. But i bet you, if elections are held next time, they will loose woefully than before.
Elections in nigeria are won from the grassroots on the day of election, not this type of unfounded accusations that hold no water. LP never learn her lessons, still following pdp strategies up and down.

As a lawyer myself, I have never seen where the CTC of a Court document, more importantly a Judgement, will bear the imprint or mark of a party to the case.


The only explanation for this is that Tinubu's legal team applied for the Judgement CTC, got it, then electronically added their mark to the scanned copy before uploading it online, for full disclosure of the uploaded CTC's source.

If that's the case, I see nothing wrong with that..

Before Obi and Atiku's team cry blood and raise their usual false alarm, they should try getting a physical CTC of the judgment themselves, and see whether it also has that Tinubu Legal team mark.

Everyone already knows the judges were working for the apc.

I'm pro Tinubu so far but all the rulings. and judgement ain't pure. Some of the judgement in favor of Apc shouldn't have being in a corrupt free society. But we're In Nigeria where majorities of shitty things goes.

Show us paperwork from polling units signed by all parties that show different numbers from what INEC declared.
