I tried cash app and was told it’s only applicable to send money to US and not Canada

I didn’t check PayPal
a lame question though 🙈 - can I pay money into someone PayPal account for them to transfer to their bank account please?

I’ve been using wise for the last 4yrs, I’ve not had an issue with them. What problems are you having or did you have?

Same here too but the moment I used them to pay my fees via Flywire, they shutdown my account without any reason offered.

Hello everyone, I need your thoughts on this please. my visa expires in few weeks. I want to switch to a skilled worker visa as a dependant.

Can I apply without my passport as the old one has expired though I have gone for the renewal but yet to get it.

Can I apply with the old passport I have now?If its not possible to apply that way can anyone help with a reliable number to contact at the Nigeria High Commission in London?

Your best bet is to push NHC ........ Hopefully, you receive it in good time .......

If you’re in the UK, you can convert your Naira to Pounds on Lemonade (LemFi) app. Then send your pounds to any uk account.

Hi dear
I was in exact same situation about 3months ago.
So what I did was put my passport expiry date by 2months forward even though it has expired so I can do my application. Then attach a cover letter explaining why I did so and stating I’m yet to receive my new passport.
I have my new brp now as the application was successful.
Hope that helps.
All the best in your application

I think you should have contacted them for advice and wait for an express approval before going ahead to submit the application , so as to prevent them using this expired pali to bite u in future ( windrush palaver come to mind)

This is wrong, you need a passport to apply. Your COS must include your passport expiration date, which have to reflect in your visa application.

The question of weda they accept an expired passport is another thing altogether which I can't confirm or deny, but you need your passport details to apply.

I kind of notice that IT field in cloud and devops dont get much patronage from our fellow naija as compared to other IT field . seems all nigerians IT don port finish to more sexier -sounding areas of IT such as data science, ML, AI , BA ,SM etc grin

For me, I changed my Visa from one employer to another and didn't use my passport nor did i do biometrics. My brp was all I used and I used the biometrics app downloaded from playstore for my biometrics.

Your case is change of employer still within the same visa category totally different from the guy in question want to achieve .what he want to do is visa category change and he will definitely need a passport

If the form would let you pass that section, you can apply as long as inside the UK. Put your explanation at the and of the form and attach all documents to prove you have applied for the passport. Then continue with your application.
You do not need passport as long as you are inside the UK. Most times you will end up using the Home office app if you are inside the UK

Not entirely true sorry to say. That’s why kids born in UK irrespective of their nationality can apply for a dependent visa with only a birth certificate. If you are inside the UK, you can get away without applying with a passport these days. That’s why a lot of Indian ppl were claiming ‘statelessness’ to get visas and ilr and citizenship. Till now. Because having a passport from your home country is not compulsory when you want to apply for leave to remain in the UK.
You get away with this because you are INSIDE the UK.
Also The HOME office app doesn’t even need you to come to their office for biometrics again. Just sit in the comfort of your home, take selfie and snap and upload your former BRP. Finish
It wont work if you have changed any of your details for example name, date of birth, place of birth etc since the last time you went to them to do biometrics. As long as your data is same, you can use the app and do it from your home.
Then whenever you get ur passport, you simply update them via the update form on the gov.uk page
