If you’re not among the big names and National Team Player you can barely earn $50,000 a year from the Women’s game.. except You’re in the Asisat Oshoala, Puttelas, Renard, Diani, Vivian Miedema, Alex Morgan, Rapinoe, Bronze Level that you will be earning above $200,000 to $1M annually..

In the top Divisions in France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, England and the NWSL they earn as little as $1500 monthly as minimum Salary… When you get the Saudi/China Offer it’s difficult to ignore it especially when you can get what you get a year in two months over there..!

The Liga F, in response to the request of the unions themselves, took new steps towards reaching an agreement and presented a new alternative agreement for a single season with a minimum salary of €20,000 -- an increase of 25% on the current minimum salary -- with the possibility of reaching €23,000 based on commercial benefits generated by the competition…

The Players Union refused, insisting on the €25,000 as minimum annual wage..

I agree that they are in the minority but the number is also significant. I follow the WNBA for instance and about 30% of the players identify as queer (this doesn't include those whose sexual preference isn't known).

Also, the disposition of Western countries to the LGBT community gives them so much voice and leverage. I really do not think football will have that high number though cause the sample size is larger (WNBA has a total of 144 max players). Had to check for some data while typing this

About 40% of the Brazilian women's team identity as gay while Australia and Ireland as about 35%.

40 players are openly gay in the NWSL.

You'll realize that once you curate these numbers considering only top Europe teams and the US/Canada, you'll find the number is significant. It only reduces when you add more conservative countries like Africa and Asia.

That's true. It's hard for anyone to not think that. But they deserve better and if na my pikin get such chance, hop on it. She's proven her worth also. Ashleigh na better person jare. This list is funny. You can't really pencil down the criteria used to select some of these players. My justification for Oshoala not making the list was that Nigeria didn't go far in the World cup, but I then see Mapi Leon in the list who didn't go to the world cup at all.

Hinata Miyazawa played 46 games in a lower ranked Japanese league and only scored 4 goals on 2 seasons. Her only big moment was scoring 5 goals at the world cup.

The biggest joke of the lost was Lauren James. Can't even figure out what basis she made the list. Then you have a Linda Caicedo and Salma who obviously her good players and both had great world cup tournament, but don't have a better season than Oshoala in the same league.
