Numerouno94:under normal circumstance, Messi should not have participated in 2022 FIFA Awards but then winning the World Cup in December which was still within FIFA calendar for the award changed everything. That was why he didnt contest for Balon D’or cos it was done shortly before the World Cup in November 4 Likes 2 Shares |

orohbiro: I can see ur frustration because ur godfather has as already be relegated. Meanwhile, check goals, assists and stats of the two players. You talk about trophies one won but neglected the one the other won. GOAT won trophies from 3 different teams while the other won from one team . Two of 3 teams that GOAT won trophies with are average and low level teams, (Goat almost singlehandedly won it for the clubs), while the other won it with best assembled team in the world. And lastly, if u re old enough in 2010 ,I will refer you to that year, coincidentally a world cup year. Ask what happened between Sneldier and GOAT. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Thank you Almiron. I'm sure pendu fans will understand what Messi fans were talking and complaining about when this lady obembet used to always post pendu content and the mod will push it to the FP. They should have a taste since their pendu is not relevant anymore. 2 Likes |

The problem with you football illetrates is that you don't read football stats, all you know is goal hence the reason you argue blindly or childishly over obvious facts 4 Likes 1 Share |

It's between Messi and Haaland in my opinion. Very difficult choice. A first for Haaland or a final one for Messi? May the best man win. 2 Likes |

JuicyStar:FIFA best award is not a father christmas, is for the best in all field of football and not only goal scoring. Resist the urge to salaye, you will get zero score. 1 Like |

orohbiro:Golden boot is meant and won by the highest goal scorer in a tournament but best player is meant for the best performing player in a match. Don't be confused, they are two different thing. Haaland will always go home with the golden boot because he scores goal very well but aside from scoring, what other thing does he do very well? Nothing. Rarely can you see him dribble pass three players in any match. Same thing in passes and that is why he doesn't have more assist. How many tackle does he has? How many MVP does he win in a season? Haaland win surely go home with golden boot award but not best player award, it would be an injustice for him to win best player when we talk of individual award. Meanwhile, the three weeks tournament is rated the best in the world because it requires your team players to always be at the best and there is no home advantage, everyone team in a different turf to battle and any little mistake enroute to your country. The intensity of the tournament is blood sapping, with high intensity and that is why is the best of all tournament. Besides, winning of best player is an individual award and your rating is done in every aspect of football and not only goal you score. Winning of EPL, FA, Champions league is a collective feat and not individual please, note the difference. Emotion doesn't win best player please. Look at the poster below, the only thing he does better is goal scoring, other aspect very poor. Best player is a s total of aspect of football. 3 Likes

Re: Messi, Haaland, Mbappé Lead Fifa's The Best Award Shortlist by IfnobeGod20: 6:45am On Sep 15, 2023 |
MrBroke:That's just the problem they have. They thought football alone is all about goal scoring and no other thing. Haaland that cannot dribble three players at a time is what some people are rooting as the best player in the world while only thing he does is to stay inside 18-yard and score goal. Even with his goal scoring he doesn't and rarely win man of the match in each of their game. If on golden boot, he deserves it but not world footballer of the year. That weight is too bigger than him. 1 Like |
