lavida001: Lol, na on top car issue i been dey for over a week or so, insurance paid me out and was giving 1 week to return courtsey car, I was searching every where to buy car, went for lots of viewings becasue i'm on budget and had a specific specs in mind (Ulez free, auto, comfortable like the courtsey car, petrol (dont want dpf issue again)), las las na one kind benz of 12 years old i bought, thats the only car that meet all the requirements, little bit comfy. Funny that mercedes of over 11 years still perform better than some modern product of some manufacturers. 1 Like |

jedisco: You make a lot of good points on this topic, but I disagree that migration is being regarded or used by the government as some type of silver bullet to solve all of its public funding issues. Mass migration typically creates as many problems as it solves, so it's not the answer. |

Yes. At one point, they had posters in the arrival halls at MMA. Shouldn't be a problem for you - try to renew when you are here as I hear TAT can be super fast. wallg123: 2 Likes |

Good morning everyone Please I need your opinion on how best to handle my current end of tenancy issue. I am to vacate my current house 29th September as agreed in the assured shorthold tenancy agreement. I have been contacted by the lettings on the 25th of June to notify me of the landlord's intention to sell the house hence he's not interested to renew my contract. But unfortunately I have not bee able to secure another apartment due to the current housing crisis. Securing accommodation seems like war these days. I have been in contact with the lettings and the property coordinator to explain the situation but they insist the landlord doesn't want an extension. The lettings branch office have been trying to help as well but nothing is forthcoming from their end. How best do you think I can handle this without unnecessary legal tussle? Elders and experienced bosses, abeg I need your contributions. Thanks and Regards. Cc lexusgs430 Justwise Goke7 Solumtoya Hustla |

The process begins from one's school notifying Home office of successful completion of study by the student and advise on the process to apply for the PSW visa. You can't just go on to apply directly without these process completed. lavida001: |

You never get you never get be that naaaa ...they can't come and throw out your belongings like they do in Naija. Besides winter is fast approaching, there's a law against a landlord evicting tenants during that period. Let them begin the legal process to evict you. But you need to also step up your effort in getting a place, no go de try use Naija style here oooo donplus1: |

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Nobody: 9:44am On Sep 17, 2023 |
bigtt76: That has lapsed. It was for the Covid Winter period, IIRC. donplus1 - the landlord has no obligation to extend your rent whether or not you find another place in so far as the term has expired and they've given you notice, which by your narration they've even exceeded. The landlord cannot come and boot you out immediately but they can initiate eviction proceedings and secure a court order to evict you by force if necessary, and they might also be awarded costs against you, to cover their expenses in initiating the case. Bear in mind that in the scenario above you'd have destroyed your chance of getting a good reference. Ultimately, the only thing you can do is to step up your efforts to get a new place, and engage with your landlord to get them to extend you more time. 10 Likes |
