Please, they're not the same. Gernacho was always starting from the bench. Rashford is an established first team player. It'll take a lot of fvck up for Saka to get dropped. It'll take very little for an Nketiah to get dropped. It's simple.

The argument all day has been about who the direct replacement for this player is. And it's Gernacho that's playing worse than Rashford this season.

Rashford got back to his natural position for the 1st time against Nottingham. He was involved in all 3 goals. First start from the left.

Next match was away at Arsenal. And he scored a goal. Then there's Brighton match that he was terrible. In all the 3 games, he admittedly performed below his standards.

Gernacho on the other hand, started the first 2 games and was absolutely terrible. He couldn't take on one man. I mean one man. Especially against wolves.

Even last season everyone was saying Garnacho shouldn't start games. We saw him play terrible again and again and again whenever he starts.

Personally, I’m starting to think that Rashford instructed to conserve his energy and be our main outlet for goals. That’s why he rarely pressed or defended and had the most chances for United.

Rashford had like six shots or eight versus Brighton and Hojlund had zero. Zilch. Odo. He didn’t get any service, or any that he connected with. The only one he connected with turned into a goal, but Rashford delayed the pass too long and it was out of play. It was even as a last resort because he’d played his normal rubbish.

I think ETH has to put Rashford in his place. He should stop pressuring himself to score. Everyone must work hard, create chances for others, and score goals when in the right positions.

The Rashford favoritism should end. “Gernacho” has better decision making most times. If Rashford is off ona particular day, Genarcho should come in and create chances, etc.
