Mount is not what we need rather Amrabat, is someone who will help out Case and occasionally free him to go forward and attack.

I no even trust that Amrabat will solve the problem.

Firstly, the team structure is defective. Secondly, Amrabat himself is not really blessed with pace from the little I have seen. Pace is what has been killing us in that midfield. If Casemiro does not somehow regain his form he will do to Amrabat what Eriksen is currently doing to him (Casemiro).

The ref is 34yrs old and had been running from opening whistle. McTominay is 26yrs and had just come on 10 minutes before that clip. The ref had no vested interest. McTominay had just lost the ball and should have been interested in preventing a goal. The referee actually increased the gap between himself and McTominay.

That is before we talk about the loose touch that turned a potential goal scoring opportunity for us into a goalscoring opportunity against us in seconds.

But if you notice, on this thread the main issue isn't whether he's a good keeper or not. People said it was DDG costing us control of games and without him we'd play better and control games while forgetting that the midfield fix was priority.

I have a lot of hope for Onana, and I'm starting to see what ETH wants to implement and when Amrabat and Mainoo comes back y'all will see it too. But until then, he go collect if he bleeps up from me and everyone.

Again, I do not know why do not go after players who can dribble their way past a couple of opponents. Pace alone won't cut it as we have seen with Adama Traore and now, Rashford.

This is why I will always prefer players with finesse over pace, pawa and pashun. At least you know that if you get the ball one on one against you opponents, your players can easily breeze past them and if you get tag teamed in a challenge by two players, there's always one player free.

If you don't have pace, there are other ways to overcome that. Work on your positioning and awareness so you don't get caught lacking, man marking, timing.e.t.c...

He shouldn't overlap if he has no pace.

He has good positioning and defensive awareness, but he is not getting to the midfield runners on time as they are just driving past him with pace. Very good example was in the Wolves game. If he sits too deep because he is afraid of opposition pace it then opens a wide gap between him and the attacking players which the opposition can then utilize to punish us.

Casemiro is a DM first so if it comes to a choice between exposing the defence or joining in the attack, which would you rather he picked?? Or would you like a CF that defended more than he attacked?

And true to your point, he needs a solid pairing to enable him keep playing as a DM with little to no attacking responsibility.

What i am saying is even when he sits back it is not making much difference. They are just driving beside him and past him into the box. Sitting back is actually allowing them to drive past him more easily as there is so much space between him and the attacking players, allowing the opposition players to generate top speed by the time they get to Casemiro. Go back and watch what Matteus Nunes and Matteus Cunha did to him.

It is either Eriksen needs to be dropped or if that alone does not work both Casemiro and Eriksen need to be dropped. I am tired of seeing Eriksen lose 50/50 tackles and Casemiro's premature sliding tackles.
