Episode 23

~ Adannaya's POV ~

When Ckay slowly turned his body away from me, I turned on the lamp beside the side of the bed. I took my iPad from the table and started to continue to write my book.

Break up.

What if…. maybe in the future we break up? Will I be okay? Will he be okay? Will everything be the same or will I have the same breakdown?

I h@te to think about it but it’s something that I have to risk in the future. Saying yes to date him was a really big deal to me. I kept writing and writing my book when suddenly Ckay turned his body to face me. I smiled looking at him.

He surprised me by coming early and he even came to the set to be with me. I caressed his head and kissed his forehead.

How can I not open up to this person?

Ckay was such a good guy that I always think that I don’t deserve him. He deserves more than just a girl with a rough past. My heart started to surrender to him a little bit and it was a really big deal for me.

Surrendering my heart to him means I’m 1000% ready for everything. I knew he won’t be like other guys who will just play me and throw me away. I knew that he was genuine. Just that I was the problem. I couldn't even tell him that I’m Ifenkili yet… why am I so afraid?
Deep down inside, I still wanted to keep the line between me and Ckay even though I was starting to step up on it a little bit knowing that being with him will always be safe.

Suddenly, I had an idea for my book and it was about my story and Ckay. I smiled as I started writing the ideas on my notes when suddenly Ckay grabbed my hand. I was shocked and he pulled me closer. I put my iPad back on the table and he pulled me closer.

“Why are you not sleeping?” he mumbled.

“A little bit of work,” I said.

“Sleep…you are tired,” he said and I found myself turning off the lamp. He pulled me into his arm and I could feel his breath on my skin.

“Don’t even try to wiggle out from me,” he said and he got back to snoring. I chuckled and closed my eyes. I fell asleep after that.

“Ada…babe.” I slowly opened my eyes and found Ckay already dressed nicely in his suit.

“Where?”

“I have an emergency meeting. I will be back in two hours,” he said and I nodded.

“Okay. I have a meeting too,” I said as I turned to reach for my phone. Ckay helped me with it. And when I checked, it was 8:00 AM already.

“Okay. I have to go now. I’m sorry,” he said and I smiled nodding.

“Okay,” he gave me a peck on my lips and he walked out of the room. I quickly got up and made the bed really quick before going out.

I’d be having a meeting at my house in an hour, so I have to get ready quickly. I walked downstairs to my apartment and quickly took a shower. I waited for my team to come. I sat in my meeting room writing some ideas on my notes. I looked out the window and found a reflection there. I found myself looking more alive and happier.

Ckay changed me a lot, and I just can’t…. I don’t know how to thank him for this.
My doorbell rang and I quickly walked out from my meeting room to open the door for my team. They walked inside to the meeting room and I brought all of them some snacks and bottled water.

“Miss Ada, we have the final editing and some cover designs for the new book, maybe you can choose again. We tried to follow your order last time for the cover so…,” Phoebe said and I tried to check on the designs.

I nodded looking at all of it, and I ended up picking the dark blue cover because I think that color suits the most with the book.

“After you read the final editing let us know so we can start to produce the book,” she said and we started to talk about other things such as translating the book into other languages.

Then suddenly an idea popped out of my mind. I was so nervous to say this but I thought about the book that I was currently writing and paused.

“I have an announcement to make,” I said and they all looked at me waiting for me to tell them what was on my mind. I looked at them nervously and I took a really deep breath and let it out.

“I’m currently writing a book right now and if this book is going to be published later on, I’ve decided to show myself publicly,” I said and they all looked at me with their eyes popping out from their skull. Some of them blinked a few times making sure that they were not dreaming.

“Miss Ada, are you sure?” they asked Nazzy was one of the people who kept giving me this idea.

“Please, don’t take those words back Flora said and I looked at them both.

“Seriously?”

“When will the book be ready? Phoebe asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe four months or more. It's new,” I said and they looked at me sadly.

“Why can't we just do this batch?” they asked as he pointed out the book that we were going to publish in a month or less.

“No.”

“Oh, come on. One of your books is currently in the process of shooting so it's…,”

“The movie will come out next year and if my next book is finished, it will be less than a year,” I said looking at Phoebe completely annoyed.

“Okay, then,” she said as she let out a small cough.

“Why did you change your mind? Flora asked in a careful tone.

“Ask that once again and I will take back my words,” I said coldly and they shut their mouths immediately.

After I packed my small bag for extra clothes to go to the beach, Ckay called me telling me to come to his apartment. I dropped everything and went down right away. I pressed his doorbell and he opened the door for me.

“Is everything okay?” I asked and he nodded. He gestured to me to go inside. He got the dogs back and the dogs ran towards me. I was so excited to see them. I couldn’t believe he kept his dog at his parent's house because he was he wasn't finished moving in fully, but then, he was.

“Oh my God,” I turned to Ckay and he smiled.

“For you,” he suddenly gave me a bouquet of flowers. I got up and took the flower.

“Thank you,” I said.

“Ready to go to the beach?” He asked and I nodded.

“Of course,” I said as I turned to the door.

“Don’t tell me you want to bring the dogs,” he asked in a really suspicious tone. I laughed and nodded as I patted Milo's head.

“You cute little fluff,” I said as I knelt seeing them.

“Fine…have you packed your stuff?”

“Yes, I have…. Milo don’t even try to bite it,” I said when I saw him going to eat my flowers.

“Me too, let's go.”

“But should we go to the pet store first?” I asked. I got up hugging the flowers. Ckay raised his eyebrows and I looked at him confused too.

“We need to bring things for the dogs like… dog foods, umm, bed and a bowl for them to eat,” I said and he looked at me flatly.

“Babe….. I’m touched,” he said sarcastically.

“What? Did I say something wrong?”

“You literally worry more about the dog than me?”

“Ckay, it’s a one-day trip. You and I can survive. Besides, there are a lot of shops beside the beach. But it’s hard to find a pet shop nearby,” I said and Ckay just rolled his eyes. I ignored him and Ckay gave me their leash. I put it on them and I walked towards the door.

“Wait,” Ckay said and I stopped immediately.

“What? What?”

“Where is your luggage?”

“Upstairs.”

“Okay, let’s go,” he said and I nodded.

I walked out bringing the dogs and held the door open for Ckay to come out. He brought a small piece of luggage, and I closed the door. He pressed the left button and went up to my apartment again. We walk to my apartment just to get my luggage and finally walked down to the parking lot.

“How was your meeting?” I asked.

“It was okay. Are you going to bring the flowers around?” He asked and I nodded.
When we arrived at the parking lot, Ckay led me toward his car. And when I opened the back seat to put the dogs, Ckay already set everything up. I was so shocked. He already prepared everything.

He brought the dog's bed and some food. He brought a big mattress and picnic baskets. I froze standing there completely amazed. It was something that I’d always wanted to have when I eventually had a boyfriend. A picnic somewhere, just the two of us enjoying the view from the back of the car.

“Ada, aren’t you going to let the dogs in?” Ckay asked after putting our luggage into the trunk, and that busted my bubbles. I helped the dogs to get inside and closed the door. I got into the passenger seat still speechless.
“You okay?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said and he started to drive away from the building. I found myself looking at the back again and then at Ckay. My heart shrunk immediately and it made me want to cry.

I kept looking outside the window and trying to hide my tears. I kept silent all the time too, even though Ckay tried to ask me a couple of questions along the way.
I tried to keep myself together because I didn’t want to cry in front of Ckay. I tried to think about my books so I won’t be emotional, but I couldn’t help it.

The beach wasn’t too far from our place, so we got there faster. After he fully packed his car, he got out immediately and I followed him. The dogs were excited. They were barking seeing other dogs visible. Ckay let the dogs out to play with other dogs and he opened the trunk.

I got out and walked back to the trunk. Ckay put down the back seat and put the mattresses to create a bed. He added the pillows and took the picnic baskets out. He took my flowers and put them in the middle. He returned to the driver's seat again taking something out. I was speechless and I found myself sitting on the trunk looking down to the ground. I found myself tearing up.

“Babe do you… Hey! why are you crying?” he panicked as he held onto my shoulders. I cried more because of that and he hugged me.

“Babe, did I say something wrong? I’m sorry if I did. Are you okay?” he asked and I nodded answering the last question.

“Come on…you can tell me. Did someone bully you? Did the meeting not go well? Did something happen when I was away? Ada talk to me?” He asked and I cried more.

Damn! Ckay patted my back trying to calm me down

“Why do you have to be this good? I don’t deserve you. You prepared all of these? Comforting me when I needed you the most. You’re always there for me, kiss me when I’m asleep, giving me the biggest hug. Why?” I busted and Ckay chuckled.

“Don’t laugh,” I hissed and he pushed my chin making me look at him.

“So you are crying because I’m being sweet to you?” he asked and I sighed. I looked down and wiped my tears I looked at him observing him he smiled at me and my eyes filled with tears again

“Ckay…. I surrender. I give up.”

Episode 24

Adannaya's POV ~

Never in my life, I have never thought that someone would successfully break all my walls. I made that invisible walls around me to protect myself from being hurt. People come and go and that’s the reality. I knew that but I never imagined that it would be so easy to break it.

This is why I always avoid people trying to get close to me because I knew there is a probability that they could break my walls easily and then leave me.

Now, I’m sitting in front of Ckay and telling him that I’m giving up. I’m done trying to keep my walls up. I’m done trying to protect myself and I’m surrendering my heart to him. It seemed so fast for him but he was just everything. He made me happy. He made me feel special, he made me love myself, and he helped me move on—even though I always hated that idea.

“Ckay… I surrender. I give up,” I said to him completely knowing that I didn’t want to be distant anymore. I didn’t want him to feel that he was the only one who was trying to make this relationship work.

“Ada, I don’t really understand your statement. Are you trying to break up with me? We talked about this last night that I’m no..”

“I’m done trying to push you away,” I said in a small tone as I looked down to the ground not ready to look at him in the eyes. I wiped the tears that left him in my eyes and Ckay knelt in front of me. He gave me a small smile and he kissed my hand.

“Thank You, beautiful. But why are you crying?” he asked as he held my head.

“Ckay…,” I called him. I released the hug. He looked at me and I cupped his face. I kissed him and it immediately got intense. We kissed passionately but suddenly Milo (his dog) decided to ruin the moment.

“Milo!” Ckay hissed and Milo was poking him. The other dog came with a stick in his mouth. I chuckled looking at them and they completely had sand all over them. It put the stick down and I took it throwing it away.

“What do you want?" Ckay asked Milo. He just sat there looking at us.

“What?” I asked and Milo turned his face.

“I guess we are not staying here for the night,” Ckay said grumpily. I kissed him on his cheek and he turned to me. He took off his shoes and gestured for me to do the same he laid on the bed and I laid beside him.

“You don’t know what you’ve done to me, Ada,” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

“What did I do?”

“I always wanted to have you fully; all of you. I knew deep down inside my heart that I want to have a future with you. Being with you is a real deal for me. I want to be with you every single second and cherish everything. I want to make plans with you, create a future together or maybe have babies together,” he said and that made me smile. I even choked a little bit. He turned to the side and looked at me smiling. He gave me a peek on my cheek.

We suddenly heard a small howl and it was Milo this time. Ckay hissed and he put on Milo's life vest so he could have fun with the other dogs in the water already. Don’t worry we are watching the dogs too.

“They are so happy,” Ckay said and I chuckled. Milo and the other dog were busy swimming and playing with other dogs. We both sat in the car enjoying the breeze the view and the companionship.

Ckay sat next to me and opened the picnic basket. He gave me a chicken and an orange juice. I was completely surprised that he prepared all of this.

“Wow… my man is k!lling it,” I said and I took a bite.

“How is it?”

“Nice…,” I said as I was munching it. I turned to him and gave him a thumbs-up.

He ate it too and nodded.

“This is good,” he said and I ate the fried chicken because I was a little hungry.

“You can take another piece I have more,” Ckay said and I nodded. I drank the orange juice and put the bottle back into the picnic basket. I looked at the view and couldn’t stop smiling because I was so happy.

“You like it? Ckay asked and I turned to him.

“Like what?”

“The view,” he said pointing at the beach and I nodded. I moved over closer to him and I kissed him. He pulled me onto his lap and we had an intense make-out session inside his car. He even slipped his hand into my tee. My body turned hot instantly and I wanted him so bad but we were not in the place where we should be doing it. Damn!

His hand traveled to my back towards my bra but I think he realized that we were in a public place to begin with. After kissing for a while, we looked at each other.

“I think I should give the dogs back to my parents after this,” he said and I smiled.

“We need time alone huh?”

“Yeah, and I’m sure they will ruin the moment again,” he said and I crashed my lips to him again. Ckay started to kiss my neck making me moan when suddenly the dogs barked at us.

Damn it. He hissed and I laughed.

10 months Later.

“Babe, have you seen my hard disk?” I asked Ckay because I couldn’t find it

“Have you checked your laptop bag or maybe your work bag?” he answered from the room. I quickly walked to the kitchen because I put on my bag earlier when I got home. I checked my bag and found it.

I just got home from an important meeting. Just like I said around 10 months ago that I promised that I will review myself if I was done writing my new book. Tomorrow will be the publishing date and they already prepared a meet and greet.

I was so nervous and they gave me all the details on my hard disk. So I needed to go through all of that tonight. Ckay still didn’t know I’m Ifenkili and I was planning to drag him to tomorrow’s event because I wanted him to hear everything.

My relationship with Ckay was amazing. He was still the sweetest and I trusted him 1000%. He asked me to move in with him, and of course, I said yes because why not?

“Did you find it?” Ckay asked as he gave me a back hug.

“Yeah…will you come with me tomorrow?”

“Of course! I want to see who is Ifenkili,” he said and he kissed my cheek.

“So what do you want for dinner?” He asked as he walked towards the fridge.

“I thought you are going out with Paul and Dave?”

“I’m going to grab your dinner after that. So tell me what you want.” I sat on the chair and he turned to me drinking his apple juice.

“You,” I said and he choked right away. He quickly ran to the sink and coughed his @ss off. He laughed and he turned to me.

“Not funny, Ada. I almost died, ” he said dramatically and I smirked, winking at him.

“I want pizza,” I said and he looked at me glaring.

“Don’t do that again. It’s not funny to make sexual jokes when I’m eating or drinking, honey,” he said and then looked at the clock.

“I’ll be going now,” he said and I nodded.

He kissed me on the cheek and bid me his goodbyes. After he left, I got into the shower to freshen up because it's been a long day. I had a lot of meetings and it wasn't fun.

I was nervous about tomorrow and I didn’t know why I decided to do this. Not only that I will be revealing myself for the fan meeting tomorrow, but there was a couple of press who will be attending too.

Nelo told me yesterday that it was better for me to tell Ckay first instead of just surprising him tomorrow which I knew was a great idea, but I was debating about it. Nelo told me that he deserves to know it from me instead of knowing it suddenly tomorrow. He was my boyfriend and I knew I was going to have a future with him. And in Nelo's eyes, it was not fair at all.

She said that Ckay won't get m@d about it and she believes that he will be so proud and supportive. But, does he deserve to know this with other people? She has a point though.

That was why after the meeting earlier, I planned to tell him after he was done having dinner with the boys. I love Ckay even though he never heard that straight from my mouth. And I think he deserves to know about it before I officially announce everything tomorrow. Not only that I will tell him about Ifenkili, I’m going to tell him that I love him too. I’ve been waiting for the right moment to say it, even though it was damn hard for me to say that three words.

Four months ago, on my 6th month anniversary with him, He surprised me with a trip to Uyo, the State capital of Akwa Ibom. It was so amazing and he told me he loves me there. My heart blew up when I heard him say the beautiful words. I told him that I was not ready to say it to him yet, but I knew one day I will. He said my being with him was enough which I knew wasn’t fair on his side.

I sat on the sofa looking at the rundown for tomorrow’s event and I studied the questions that the MC will ask me tomorrow so I could answer them without being so nervous. I sat down there with Milo lying beside me. I patted both dogs as I went through the questions.

Three hours passed and Ckay was home after dinner. The dogs ran towards him and I put down my laptop to greet him.

“Babe, I got your pizza,” Ckay said and I smiled looking at him.

“Thank you and how was the dinner?”

“It was good but I’m not full yet, so I’m going to dig in this pizza with you,” he said and he gave me a peek on my lips.

“So honey, what did you eat?” I asked him.

“Dave ordered barbecue for the three of us. I’m not a fan of fish,” Ckay complain and I laughed. He put the pizza on the kitchen table and opened it. I washed my hands immediately and took one slice.

I jumped and sat on the kitchen table and Ckay took one slice too. He stood beside me and after taking a bite, I looked at him seriously.

“Ckay, I have something to tell you,” I said and he turned to me raising his eyebrows. He took a bite and gestured for me to say whatever I’m going to say.

“I am Ifenkili,” I said and Ckay looked at me blinking a couple of times. He didn’t say anything and I was freaking waiting for him to react or to say something.

“Uhmm.. Ckay?” I put down my pizza.

“Wow… that took you 10 months huh?”

My eyes widened and I looked at him in disbelief.

“You knew?”

“How can I not?” He smiles as he put down his pizza.

“What?”

“I found out about it when you fell asleep in front of your laptop. You were writing and I kind of figured out about it after that. You said some of the lines in real life too, babe,” he said as I wiped his hands.

“Why did you not ask me about it? I’m still shocked.”

“Well, I waited for you to tell me because I knew that you have your reasons why you kept it away from me,” he said as I pulled my legs to circle his lips with my toes.

“Really?” I asked in a small tone.

“So, why did you decide to tell me now?” he asked as he pulled a strand of my hair to the back of my ear. I pouted and sighed.

“The book that is going to be published tomorrow. “It’s about you. I just want to tell you when the time is right, and I want to dedicate that book to you,” I said and he smiled widely.

“Can’t wait to read about it. I’m so excited,” he said and I put my hands on his shoulder.

“I promise, no more secrets.” He leaned his head towards me kissing me. It got intense but I stopped him. I looked at him straight into his eyes.

“I thought you want your dinner,” he said jokingly.

“I love you,” I said and his eyes widened.

“What?”

“I love you,” I said again without any hesitation.

“Really?” he asked and I nodded. He picked me up and twirled me around. He was so happy and I was happier.

“Say it again,” he said as he put me down. I looked up to him and chuckled.

“Ckay, I love you so much,” I said and he picked me up again. He kissed me passionately and brought me to our room. He laid me on the bed and looked at me smiling happily.

“Do you mind if you eat your dinner later on?” he smirked as he unbuttoned my shirt.

“I thought you were my dinner,” I said and he crashed his lip to mine right away.
We both made love after that.

Making out with him in bed was even better than it had been against the door. Now he knew what I liked, the moves that made me moan and gasp and sink my fingers into his shoulders.

He sat up and smiled down at me, his eyes on my bright red panties. He moved like a flash down my body, pulling those panties off as he went and throwing them across the room. And then he set about doing things to me with his fingers and his mouth that almost made me blackout.

“You are mine,” he grunts out, pumping into me. The length and level of his arousal were brutal. ‘Mine,’ he swears, as he releases my mouth and turned me around, pushing me forward as he yanks my legs back, one hand hard on my back, the other gripping my @ss.

He didn’t slow the movement, giving me full, hard thrusts. My breasts bounced from the top of my bra, the mirror giving me a full view of my slutdom.
