Data finishes fast this days. Even 37gb doesn't last me a month again, and the thing is that I don't watch TikTok or Instagram or Facebook and I hardly download movies. I use YouTube but not everyday like 2 times in a week.
if you like no use Instagram or Facebook or tiktok so far u use open chrome or other Internet browser or update needed your data will finish... They are scammers

Not brand but model.

High and mid-end phones will consume more data than low-end.

Expensive phones like iPhone 13 for example, will require a lot of pixels to bring up those extra fine images that you see on the screen. . So will consume more data relatively. .

Composition of pixels makes resolution of a phone. .

Which of the Nokia are you using?
My 6.1 just went off one day and since then, it hasn't come on.. I initially thought it was screen or battery problem.. Change both, no hope...
I really loved the phone eh lol

PAQ:
It depends on the amount of bloatware the brand has on their phones. Some of these bloatware (pre-installed oem apps) are connected to the internet and slowly eats data by sending and receiving information.
Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo to name a few are culprits.

Minus the Google OS which comes with Google Apps (Gmail, Gmaps, Gmusic etc) phone manufacturers have their OS skin placed over android and they come with their apps and sometimes even their own apps store like Samsung, Xiaomi etc. All these apps use data in the background and even run updates for each app. that is why vanilla android used in Pixels and Nokia, are better.

If you want to avoid bloatware, some phones allow you to delete these apps or to restrict their data access, You can also Force stop them from running. For phones that dont allow such you can root the phone and delete whatever you like and keep only relevant apps. Iphones dont have bloatware, but it has high data traffic.

If all that is too much for you then avoid phones with bloatware.
tell us some examples of the bloatware app...

I think you need to turn off background data access for apps you don't use.... This could also be a cause of data over use....
And yes I think the higher the grade of your phone, the more data it consumes...

And yes I think the higher the grade of your phone, the more data it consumes... This can be because of higher screen resolution, camera quality... Etc...

The higher your phone, the Clearer your pics.... The more data it takes to upload them.... Etc...

Am currently using Samsung phone but it consumes data more that the previous brand I was using.

Am curious to know if brands consume data differently.
Check your settings

Your phone data consumption depends on the OS architecture and apps running. That's where you should focus on

yes. Phones like Samsung has many in-house apps and community ecosytto take more data if you set your phone to auto update.

The Samsung account will auto update Samsung exclusive apps unavailable to other androids.

Itel
Infinix
Tecno
Gionee don't have their own independent cloud ecosystem and will consume less data but less robust function
Yeah ...Samsung is far more advanced, a semi conductor company.

Ogbeni...

Your apps are killing you

Whatsapp is not a text message app, it can consume as much data as Facebook or Snapchat.

All social media apps are data drainers

If you want to minimize data consumption, eliminate all social media platforms wey no dey give you money.

Minimize movie downloads...

Always set your PC to metered connection if you connect it to your phone's hotspot

Go all out ....

Calculate how much you spend on data in a month..

If you spend 5k for 20gb and you do this twice a month...you are already spending 120k on data in a year and the maximum data you received was 240gb

My two cents...

Instead of going for monthly sub, buy 100k for 1tb from the network that is strongest in your area.

If you don't have it in bulk, partner with two to three of your neighbours to sort it out for the mifi or modem.

Maybe.my former phone was 2015 Huawei enjoy and on average, I use about 300mb daily but this my current redmi phone, is atleast 800md daily. I'm tired 😩 I have restricted almost every app but still the data drains
The screenshot below shows my usage for today and this month
You can easily see data consumption per app that amount to that 38.86gb and adjust your usage of that app.
Cool font BTW, Name?

If the chipsets are high and you have an alarming hight rate of mbps download, then the case may be so. It isn't rocket science.
