He needs that loan. As at the time he was sent on loan he was the 3rd choice LB. 3rd choice LBs almost never play so sending him on loan was the right thing to do at that time. Nobody knew our 1st and 2nd choice would get injured.

Nobody said tiki taka is the way, the truth and the light. Madrid play very good football. It watch almost all their games so, I know what I am talking about. Of the teams who have won playing the way we do, how many have been successful for a stretch?

Oh ok. Maybe ETH doesn't think he is ready. I also don't think he is strong enough yet to play as a United LB. In terms of long-term planning i still support him going on the season long loan to get minutes and make teething mistakes in a less pressurized setting. I think the Reguilon deal was the better move to make.

Alvaro and Mejbri are 20 and not 18 like Gore and Mainoo. What they need now is extended minutes, which is why i suggested selling Mejbri if they were just going to keep him on the bench. Prematurely throwing Alvaro in as our only LB for several months might actually wreck him. Let him develop and make his mistakes out of sight in Spain. Next season the decision would be made on whether he is good enough to be a United LB.

Again with this Poch thing. Managers were available. I wanted Poch but said I'll back whoever they went with. They chose Ten Hag and I've backed him since day one. So move on from old story. Fyi, Ten Hag is presently my fave.


And you can keep saying that but everyone can read between the lines. Everyone that's backing the manager saw the game, didn't love the way they played, but acknowledged the situation we're in.

But I think the main reason is because ETH doesn’t really rate him.

He played a couple of preseason games and while preseason is not the main thing, he was still okay when he came on. ETH removed him at 45 mins in his last cameo and the two of them argued on his way out. Might be something about not listening to instructions.

If ETH think he can rely on him, I don’t think he’d be totally out of his depth to hold the LB position until the next international break when Malacia would be back at least.
