Are roads the only indicator for measuring development? All I can see is a town with good roads emasculated within massive rusted roofs and poverty. With most of the youths riding motorcycles for a living. The o.p lacks intelligence

Nothing really dey Akwa ibom na only good road dem get, and the standard of living there is quite high .

By Nigerian standard,Akwa Ibom is doing great...we ndigbo are saying a big congrats to our neighbours and all the good people of Akwa-Cross.

AkwaIbom is a lovely state. They and Rivers state are the only states in the SS that has made good of their Oil money

They have near perfect roads. They have constructed roads into villages and areas people are not even living yet. Their monthly allocation surpasses every state in the Southwest apart from Lagos. They got huge money with very little people to spend it on

However seems the place doesn't have much employment opportunities. An area their government should work on

The last time I went there In 2020 i wasn't really impressed because of maintenance.......i saw a magnificent structure that was not in use and there was weeds beside the roads. Akwa ibom is still struggling to attract investors and they need to focus on startup loans on local business.
