you are right in my opinion. he doesn't have the capacity to disrupt the market. It's all politics and battle to bring down value for competitors.
he will get advance payment from dealers in billions ( free loan ) to complete the ongoing lines and refinery .It an old tactic used by oil depot like Nipco and zenon . Crash prices of product. Collect huge deposit ( free loan ) to buy product from Vitol .instead of paying bank 25 interest I rather pay 10 percent in subsidied rate .Don't take my point serious it coming from Arabic school graduate from Northern Nigeria.

You don't just buy a stock and forget about it. You need to buy regularly either daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually depending on your cash flow.

Some investors Investment income is higher than their annual salary or annually profit from their small businesses.

The good thing about it, is that if you have high quality stocks they are acceptable as collateral for loans that can be used for personal needs and business expansion
Like I said, I hate investing in anything I don't understand perfectly..

I buy and hold as I can't predict when to buy and sell, any one I buy is for life, not selling.

I want to invest with my kids account on the upcoming SUKUK so that will take care of their education

Useless almajiri. Your English na serious error. So despite the free education in the north, this is the best standard of English you can write? Very sad. The north is really holding Nigeria down

does the regulator permit this?
It is none of SEC business, I don't think CBN will allow banks to do that .

It is your responsibility as an investor to determine the liquidity and financial health of the businesses you own

Really

I know Opay is huge, learnt it is owned by Chinese investors.

I only see disruption in the retail segment and they are playing a major role in the financial inclusion.

The 3% of the banks customers who control over 95% of the deposits will still stick to the big banks

Meanwhile, what happened to MTN and Airtel Fintech? They got banking licenses

It seems they are not able to play in this space.

These fintechs are the contemporary disruptors while the commercial banks are still in the classical era.

Their applications and softwares are very robust and user friendly. Better UI/UX than the commercial banks.
They have wide range of lifestyle offerings that attract potential account holder.

They are the future and if you have observed, the commercial banks are already copying some of their strategies.

Wait and see what the Telecom owned banks like smart cash bank will do in future. The Telcos have the war chest to snowball a Fintech startup to challenge the banks in future.

Don’t know the numbers , Moneypoint is also huge

What people do , mostly people that control that 95% deposit ,they use mostly moniepoint and Opay for collection and transfers , then sweep into conventional banks on a daily or weekly basis later

Most retailers and businesses use them now , the adoption has been spectacular. The transfers and payments are instant and very little downtime due to network failures compared to the traditional banks Pos

Bastard opinion don't matter (people that a happy to insult their Ethinic group online) if population don't matter why is Canada your paradise dishing out visa to repopulate several province why is Russia federation supporting pollution expansion and birth. Why is Italy paying migrants to stay in town where population is down .Why is American taking up more Migrants .Australia paying women to give birth .Japan worried about low birth .But bastard only listen to radio biafra and assume population is the problem . A nation with life span of 55 year want to follow Japan with 80 year life span control population. You must be very dull and was trained in IPOB platforms .Equip the population with right skill and supply manpower to the world and remit USD to Nigeria. it's a strategy to mobilze deposit and loan out funds ( luring finance) . They mobilze funds for almost free from account holders balances and loan/invest same above 20 percent. This is the backbone of the business .all other service is to attract you to set up account. The banks are scared .

Sadly, this is being made into a north vs south argument which misses the ponit. Interesting he keeps mentioning prostitution. It shows how blinded he is.

There are over 1 million male kids called almajiri roaming the streets of Kano. What people fail to ask is where are the female kids? Many are stuck behind walls being passed around and used as gifts to settle debt. When they've been used enough, they are thrown into the street, stuck on drugs as free for all.

Kano is a state where the government marries wives for people and then buys them mattress to f×#k. In that same state, men are allowed to divorce their wives by saying I divorce you 3x. You can only imagine how many men return yearly freebies.

If you think what you see in Wuse 2 e.t.c is prostitution, then you've seen nothing. Dude, underaged girls being passed around for a measure of rice.

The first shock I recieved in Kano was the glaring absence of women in income earning roles in the society. Roles, that have generally carried on by women elsewhere such as selling food items in markets, corner shops, secretarial roles e.t.c were being occupied by able bodied men. My final straw was going to a big local market in Tarauni. In the whole of the market, there were only two women selling- you could guess where they were from. Kept asking myself, without education and finance, what say do the women have

Coming to rape- hmm... let me not talk cos this would even traumatise me. You mix an insane amount of drugs and insane anount of poverty... Lord knows what you get. Do you know that people smoke soakaway, cement, gutter? I've seen 'chemist shops' with freezers full of codeine containing cough syr. People come to buy cough syr like others buy soft drinks
The Nobel prize for medicine has been Award to katalin kariko and Drew weissman for the first MRNA vaccines to fight covid 19 made by Pfizer ! I was expecting to see Chenedu or Emeka as the south East indigene has succeeded in the SDG goals . This is what education should be about. This the type of success other races should envy Not your mediocrate imagination that you are in competition with the North or been envied for selling meth up and down.

Loans are at between 2.5% to 4% per month, which is equivalent to 30% to 48% per annum .
