What is polygamy doing here? I will assume it’s a mistake 😒

Hehe... the prevalent notion of recent has been that in a free country, it's not the business of the government/others to decide or regulate what what sexual union or practice consenting adults engage in as far as it brings no harm to others. Always wondered why this does not apply to polygamy..

Still a choice, they were not forced to apply for sponsorship, the concerpt of slavery can not apply in this situation

Consent does not preclude slavery or exploitation. The first rule on safeguarding. Poverty is the largest driver of vulnerability.

Okay thanks. So you are saying i cannot apply online except via post right? I also collected the D1 form from the post office, so i just fill and return.

Iolo:

The passport details they are able to validate are for British nationals. It only works if you have a British passport. You will have to send them your BRP by post and then they mail it back to you.

Pardon my curiosity, but my dear moslem brothers and sisters, what does a man with more than 1 wife do when he wants to migrate?

Does UK law permit polygamy?

Which wife will be the chosen??

You are getting things mixed up here, those working in care sector are not vulnerability adults, you could make that case for those they care for.

What precludes care workers from being vulnerable and victims of slavery?

In the US immigration law (and I would like to believe the same or similar applies to the UK), you are only allowed to present/sponsor one spouse for immigration purposes. The one you choose is entirely your choice, as long as there is evidence of a duly constituted marriage or civil partnership.

Btw, this your question bros come make me no want trust you again o shocked e be like say you want bring 2 sisters come UK shocked

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, one more question please. I didn't have to visit the UKVI centre for my biometrics when I renewed my visa last year and a couple of people I know as well used same app this year and recently as well.
However, for the kids there was no option of using online biometrics app, is this the norm? Do kids have to travel for visa biometrics within the UK?
Not all the time. Mine used the app this year. The app does a selection criteria so maybe yours have never had an in-country biometric taken… this might automatically put them in to go in for biometrics.

the UK immigration would not grant say 3 dependent visas for 3 women. Only one would be allowed as the UK law although recognises ur marriage would not issue visas for a polygamous situation. The others can come on their merit on a work or student visa.

This shouldn’t be an argument. Have you had kids in the UK and gone through the process yourself or speaking from what you’re seeing on the Gov UK website which the caseworkers sometimes don’t follow verbatim.
Again like I said earlier, it shouldn’t be the case but they sometimes do which I experienced with my kids hence my advise to the OP. You saying it’s not true is an interesting position to take.
Yes I have gone through the process myself for minors including a 1 week old. Thanks.

Hehe... Moaning is a national past time.

The opposite thread was equally insightful. Many higher paying niche areas with fairly low barriers to entry.

what i learnt is one has to factor in location if you want good pay.

I heard a story recently. One Nigerian guy with 2wives came on a study visa with the younger wife on the agreement that the older wife in Naija will be getting monthly allawee. She dey naija dey enjoy soft life, while junior wife dey hustle family finances here.

Long story short, abroad wife say she no fit dey suffer to work and pay off husband balance of fees, still dey send allowance to her first wife..... las las hanty pack up and returned back home. Home sweet home. grin

Na the fight we still dey settle cos husband is stranded. He can't work to pay his fees, he can't bring first wife since Home Office get details of the 2nd wife!

Drive into a gas station and you should be to pump from £1.

You can get something like this later: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-RAC610-Analogue-Compressor-Inflation/dp/B0030FBSQ2/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=29ZWJ5XV9ENJV&keywords=tyre+inflator+air+compressor&qid=1696354460&sprefix=tyre+%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-3

It's advisable to check your tyre pressure once in two weeks.

Mornings Guys,

Please this might sound like a silly question.
Kindly what can some that studied Master's in Public Health here apply for under NHS, roles.

rayralph:

Health improvement practitioner/officer

Public health project officer.

Project support manager.

E.T.C

There’s nothing like “silly question” only silly responses.

Just to ask to @rayralph input.

I’d advice anyone that studied Public health to learn Excel for data analysis at least and know some basic statistics like
Descriptive Statistics: (Mean, Median, Mode
Range, Interquartile Range), linear regression,
Data visualization in excel, pivot table, pivot chart, power query, using sorting and filtering (multi level sorting), conditional formatting don’t bother yourself with macro or vba.
Few functions like (if, sum, count if, sumif, index, match, vlookup or xlookup) don’t complicate matter by learning lots of functions just the basics one.

(can later learn power bi after having proper understanding of excel, but I believe only excel should suffice for start) but it’s optional.

Those should get you started.

Start applying for roles related data.

Use the word “data” as your search word on NHS website.

Data Quality roles or related roles with data
Data coordinator, etc
Research Analyst
Health Policy Analyst
Data Analyst
Infection Control Officer

Can’t work in todays public health without knowing a little bit of excel.

Can recommend Chris Dutton, or Kyle pew on Udemy.

Don’t complicate things as I said by leaning too much if software just basics should do, make sure you do hands on practices exercises or solutions.

TPMS sensor might be faulty...... Take vehicle to garage, for proper diagnosis.......

Check your tyre(s) ensure they are within legal limit and no nail(s) are causing slow puncture.......
