But wait oo.

This Sukuk bond does it really make sense?

Because N10,000,000 (N10 million) naira in 2013 was worth $50,000. Assumming i bought dollars from Aboki in 2013 and put in my dorm account, by now that $50,000 will be worth N50 million naira.

Who knows what N10 million naira will be worth in 10 years time

I'm looking at it from this angle: if for instance you lock in 100m for 10 years, you will get 15,740,000 per annum, let assume dollars is #2k in ten years time, your dollars would be 200m and your SUKUK would be 257m, but you would gain more if you invest the dollars in eurobond @ 5% making a total of 300m. It's a Dicey situation but dollars investment seems guaranteed and more better.

How about splitting the audio 100 million and doing both the dollar and the sukuk? The dollar rate and eurobonds are not risk-free.

This is an investement thread.

This thread is not for discussing the negatives of other tribes in our country.

No tribe is perfect.

Please move the discussion somewhere else.

Go thru my posts for the years I've been here. I am not a bigot.

There are facts and there are ethnic statements

Certain facts
- over 50% of Nigerians are financially poor
- Nigeria has over 20 million out of school kids
- There are states in Nigeria with over 1 million out of school kids roaming the street everyday
- poverty and deprivation in Nigeria is heavily skewed towards the north.

Those are facts not ethnic statements and me being a northerner doesn't preclude me from stating such.

Why should you single out one person.

Ahib
Jedisco
Acidosis
Ibechris

And all the people involved in this argument should be banned.

We should learn to ignore those who have decided to dance naked in the market.

You should look yourself in the mirror.

If l'm not mistaken, you were the one who defended ahib years back when his bigotry came
to light saying if he's giving investment advise you fancy, then you dont care if he's spewing hate toward others.

Well, not everyone tolerates bigotry.

The part c aspect of the form is it meant for individual to fill, if yes, can you explain it?
After filling the form, where will it be submitted to, can it be submitted online?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

That is how you guys play this game. After making this statement now, when he comes back and starts replying you, you will start claiming "ayam not a bigot, ayam not a bigot".

What is so hard with going to the political section of this same nairaland where such gba gbos is more tolerated?
jedisco:

Hehe... wouldn't say any region is cursed though. Just like Africa in general, it has huge potential and vast resources. Sadly in todays world, that means nothing unless appropriately used

I was born and bred in Northern Nigeria and consider myself equally a northerner. In Nigeria, we have our problems- one of them being vast poverty. But then, fact is you know nothing about poverty in Nigeria until you have experienced poverty in the north. Sanusi saw it and shed tears.
You know nothing about drugs until you have seen addiction there. Folks huzzling for soakaway.
Same with prostitution, abuse and many others

Statistics tell me it's hardly getting better with more school kids being forced out of school. A sad story

So Oga, what is the point in the message? How is it related to the investment thread?

We can discuss nigeria statistics, but when it tends to potray other ethnic groups in bad light or to insult other ethnic groups, you can take it to political threads.

Every region of Nigeria has its positive and negatives.

Secondly, everyone has moved on, you are taking us back again to all the unnecessary gbas gbos

You need to submit through an agent. Here an agent is any SEC regulated capital market operator particularly fund managers and stockbrokers.

Most of the operators will require you to complete the form, do a transfer of the amount you wish to invest into their collection account, scan and send everything back to them. It's advisable to have a a cscs account before you invest.
Please note that no investor is required to pay any commission irrespective of the market operator you are subscribing with. The issuer ie the federal government through the DMO will be required to pay commission to all market operators who got involved in the process.

Don’t know the numbers , Moneypoint is also huge

What people do , mostly people that control that 95% deposit ,they use mostly moniepoint and Opay for collection and transfers , then sweep into conventional banks on a daily or weekly basis later

Most retailers and businesses use them now , the adoption has been spectacular. The transfers and payments are instant and very little downtime due to network failures compared to the traditional banks Pos

@bolded on point. I wonder the technology these guys use and why the mega banks cant get it right.

Honestly I can't remember ever having pos failure with these providers. Moniepoint, for instance, is abt 99% success rate from my experience

It's easy. Your are just a mail away from it. All you have to do is contact any of the financial institutions listed on the on the adverts. Other institutions that sends me notices of it but are not on the advert are 'Investment One' and 'Morgan Capital Securities Limited'. Just look them up on Google, their contact details should be there.

They will explain what you need to do... Probably their reply will come with the form and account number you should forward the investment funds to. So after filling the form you will just transfer the money and attach the form and receipt and send back.

You don't have to be here to do that. The only hurdle you may have is if your account is not yet set up for transfers. If it is, you are good to go.

Some things to note on Sukuk VI Subscription

All categories of investors Individual(Retail) or corporate, HNI, or LNI are qualified to invest.

Subscription can be done whether in Nigeria or in the diaspora

You can subscribe through any capital market operator regulated by the SEC - fund managers or stockbrokers in particular.

You don't need to transfer to the issuing house or receiving bank yourself your subscription money can be paid to the collection account of the operator you are subscribing with hence you will see different firms giving you their accounts to deposit into. The operators will in turn send your subscription monies to any of the receiving banks via the issuing houses

Your returns don't go through any of the investment firms you subscribe with. It goes straight to the bank details you provided in the subscription form.

Note: there is no subscription commission to be paid by investors that is meant for the issuer to pay

You will need a cscs account especially if you don't intend to keep it to maturity. However, the subscription can still be done without cscs account. My advice is that you start the process of cscs account opening now.
Account opening is free.

Nigeria still has a lot of potential, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. If Vietnam, which was at war for many years, exports five times more than us, then there is hope. The highest exporter in Africa is South Africa.
