I believe the Russians played a chess game and they are helping Iran in order to have some further advantage in the war and to alienate Ukraine from her backers.

Russia's romance with Iran who is a known backer of Hamas was not just some desperado move but a calculated attempt to prop up Iran's technological innovations in order for them to help their militants to have some advanced weapons.

Also, Israel, the USA and her allies forgot that helping Ukraine with weapons instead of suing for peace was to their disadvantage in that region. A sizable percent of those weapons are getting hijacked and sold in the black market which their enemies are ready to pay anything for.

Imagine Israel's defences were broken through unawares because a sophisticated and coordinated GPS jamming tool was used by Hamas who shouldn't have access to them in the first place.

Arm Ukraine, the enemies get some of those weapons and arm your enemies to harm your allies. This is what I think is at play right here.

At the end, Ukraine will be left alone because the USA and her allies will never blink when it comes to choosing a side between Ukraine and Israel.

While Israel is notorious for their heavy hand on Palestinians, Hamas just destroyed the little sympathy they enjoyed from some state and non-state actors with this barbaric attack especially on civilians.
How can you go into the streets and start shooting anybody on sight, forcing people out from their homes and shoot them at point blank, and burning down civilian buildings with people inside.

While this attack may have succeeded in terms of its core objectives of destabilizing relations between Israeli and some gulf states, and showing the Israeli government that they are not invincible. Hamas equally has dug a new grave that so many of its people would be buried inside.
