I like how Peseiro defended Uzoho in his post match interview, but he needs to face the reality. We have a goalkeeping crisis that needs to be sorted before the AFCON,or he would loss his job... I believe the NFF gave him a target of reaching the semi final of the AFCON... It is always said thag a good attack win you games,but a good defense win trophies.. We have seen the best of Okoye and Uzoho and they are simply not good enough...to make it worse, they barely play at their clubs..
It's time to look elsewhere...

Julius Aghahowa was active for the Super Eagles between 2000-2007 (7yrs)
Iheanacho made his debut 2015 till date.. (8yrs)

Bruno Onyemaechi is a revelation in that RB position, I love his game

Osayi Bright is a solid fu*king baller, fluid and brilliant in attacking as well.

With Bruno, Osayi, Aina and Zaidu our full-back depth looks solid. I like Ebuehi but his drop-off in form isn't a good look, maybe because Empoli has been awful this season cause he was one of their best players last season.

Bassey is solid

Ajayi is entering that league of deadweights like Ekong etc, we need to see what Igoh Ogbu and Jordan Torunarigha have got to offer now before the AFCON. Omeruo is the only veteran CB that should lead that defence cause he offers better leadership than Ekong.

Ndidi is revitalized breath of fresh air, real captain mentality from him.

Iwobi is as always solid and reliable, but Fisayo needs to be tested against Mozambique. We need to start prepping up understudy creative outlets for Iwobi just in case...

Simon Moses I'm sorry for ever disrespecting you, this guy gives his all for the SE, brilliant player on his day and very unselfish. A true leader just like Ndidi.

Osimhen always gives his ALL, the other forwards need to step up their game cause Osimhen will get fouled and roughed up alot by physical defenders...he's now injury prone so we can't rely on him to bail us out everytime.

Kelz! Senior man remains our best finisher! the guy is an intriguing enigma, has his lazy moments but when he's on his ace game, Senior man needs only a moment of magic to completely change the game. The question is: what position is best to play him?

Boniface is a fuccking baller, loves how he drops deep to the mid and helps in build up play, I see him as the perfect Osimhen deputy. I want to see more Osimhen/Boniface partnership.

Moffi is decent even though he hasn't been giving a full run in the NT. I place him third place in our striking depth behind Osimhen and Boniface. We need to try out new formations to really bring out the best of our forwards.

Uzoho is a crime against football, the less said about him the better.

Surely the likes of Adeleye, Arthur Okonkwo, Noah Atubolu and Stanley Nwabili have to be the GKs to groom into the NT ASAP!

I think that left wing iheanacho is playing to me is the best. At least he can cut in and slam those dead ball crosses. I think he played the same position during his under 17 days. To me that's where I will play him reason being that it won't change the structure of the team during his lazy moments and besides osayi is like a warlord down that left flank.

If Nacho and Boniface will start alongside Iwobi, then Iwobi won't play 10. There would be no #10. Rather we would have advanced 8s. Iwobi will play deeper.

Think 3-4-2-1 formation. No wingers. The 2-1 is Boniface-Iheanacho playing in the half spaces close to Osimhen. The 4 is Ndidi-Iwobi flanked by the wingbacks of Osayi and Bruno. The back 3 will be Omeruo/Awaziem, Ajayi and Bassey.

That is one formation where they can all fit into.

Another I have been pondering is one with a 3 man midfield. A 4-3-1-2. The 1 is the man in the hole behind two strikers who can also work the channels. And that 1 must also be able to penetrate centrally with his BTL runs to finish or create dangerous angled chances Foe the 2 CFs.

But in a 433, it won't work unless the corresponding Fullback on the right takes up both offensive and defensive roles with the RCB & DM covering for the RFB's overlaps. Iheanacho shouldn't operate as a wide RW but as an 8 from the RHS.


I don't like this 442 especially because Peseiro doesn't know how to set it up to look like a 4-2-2-2. Our wingers should have one of them as an advanced 8 to support Iwobi's creative role.

You mean Right flank. And yes, unless Osayi is the RB, Iheanacho should not start in that role.

Iheanacho as a false RW or pseudo 8 from the RHS with Osayi bombing up and down that flank will be quite a strategy. But it must be utilised smartly.

I saw people talking about how we missed chances against a very poor Saudi team that beat only Yemen in her last eight matches.We are having hope,sweet talk our team based on São Tomé and now Saudi.

My takes on eagles is simple,our two grey area are goalkeeping dept and midfield,having just two midfielders in a match and Iheanacho on the bench was a mistake,playing against top teams with such approach would backfired.

I just don’t know but we need a keeper that’s assuredly and also there is need to extend invitation to at least one more creative midfielder even if Fisayo comes good.

I think time to stop inviting players that are just coming back to shape,not really good for their careers.

Ivory Coast takes the lead late into the first half through Haller. A quick counter attack after a turnover in possession from Morocco.

Bamba led the quick counter, had options and chose Haller who made his finish look so easy.
Morocco suffered in that moment for having lesser bodies back after the turnover. Their rest defence was poor.

Bro have been watching SE since 94 and in all that time I've seen our team concede many goals but walahi I couldn't believe my eyes when Tunisia scored Maduka. As in I rubbed my eyes whether I was dreaming because it was so surreal.

In the 3-4-2-1, we have to keep the entire back 3 rooted and playing compactly next to each other. One of the wingbacks would have to be Conservative while the other licenced to overlap depending on the game phase. Also, Ndidi sits and provides support to the back 3 + 1 WB. That means even when we attack, our rest defence has 4-5 players waiting to poune and recover possession in case of turnovers. So the CBs won't defend alone. They will definitely need help.
