Something is definitely wrong somewhere. 2nd highest praying nation and yet virtually every sector is in a horrible state. UNBELIEVABLE. Of course the problem is not from God. It's from the very people praying and kabashing. When we decide to TRULY repent, work on our filthy and demonic attitudes and seek God with a pure heart and contrition, then God will begin to arise on our behalf. Only in Nigeria will one finish praying on Sunday, and the following day he's already booking room 9 at a hotel for a personal "night vigil" with sister precious. Pastors are constantly being caught pants down with members wives. Looting the order of the day in government. Lying, cheating, debauchery,deceit and malice rules virtually everyone's lives and yet we expect God to listen to us. DEY PLAY OOO. YOU HEAR?? MY FELLOW NIGERNIGERIANS MAKE WE CONTINUE TO DEY PLAYYYYYYY

Exactly the post I was looking for. This post right here shows that this country is eternally doomed.
A post was made stating that your country is almost the most prayerful in the world. And what does this genius come up with? Dude said our hope is in god. Which god? The same god we have been praying for 63 years and things have been going downhill EVERY SINGLE YEAR! Same god that said call on him and he shall answer but yet the country IS STUCK IN THE SAME DOLDRUMS YEAR AFTER YEAR!
Remember each year, the population of christians and Muslims increase, thus more people praying, yet more misery. Also churches are exploding all over the place. The only thing exploding along with it is corruption. The economy is going down with hardship and austerity taking up the reins.
Yet my dude says our hope is in god. Are you saying he's on a vacation or what?
Ok. Look at the least prayerful countries. UK, Canada, Denmark etc. Guess what? They don't give a fvck about your god but they are way better than you. You even run to them en masse.
Logical reasoning is really a problem for Nigerians.

The vast majority are Muslim countries. The vast majority are poor and badly managed countries. In fact crisis ridden.

Work hard to make your heart desires come to pass. praying is a futile attempt. there's been no single study that points to prayer being useful. Templeton Foundation (a religious group) ran a study and found out prayers are useless

You would have the same success praying to a milk jug as you do praying to god -- the milk jug sometimes answers your prayer the way you want to, sometimes not and sometimes the answer is delayed. See the problem here? If things turn out the way you want them to, you say it was because you prayed. If not, it's because god knows what's best and you didn't pray for the right thing. Or, if it happens 10 years later you say god answered your prayer, it was just delayed. This is nonsense. You would have the exact same effect doing nothing.

China no put prayers for front but now they are the world power, everything we use came from that country. but just look at Nigeria, we pray too much but still the most corrupt and backward country, we pray too much but we are still evil towards each others.

We Africans have a long way to go.

If all the churches opened in Nigeria in the last 20 years were actually business (restaurants, factories, professional services et all), we would have more Jobs, and the economy will be stronger, and the hardship will not be so much.
