Controversial Forgiveness I've almost missed you grin

Now based on eye test Boniface is talent wise and ability ahead of Awoniyi. Victor's technical ability on the same ball is clear for all to see. If
you're talking longevity and experience yes you can give it to Taiwo but it's only of recent over the past 2-3 years that Awoniyi has found his scoring boots.

Now as per playing at highest level yes EPL is bigger but the difference is not like day and night. Boniface plays for Leverkusen a top level German side involved in European competition. Nottingham Forest with due respect to them are a modest side. I can't say because you're doing well at Everton you are now better than someone top striking for Dortmund using EPL rating as excuse.

The only plausible argument you have is Boniface needs to be assessed over a longer period of time to see if he's the real deal but my brother based on what I've used my korokoro eye to see Victor has outstanding talent way ahead of Taiwo.

Yes, based on eye test after surgery, Boniface is better than Osimhen too. grin Even pass Haaland because he can dribble like Maradona. You're right my none controversial brother. grin

In football, consistency takes you to the highest level but from your own perspective, talent wise without consistency determines who is bettter. grin

Point of correct, Taiwo has scored double digit goals from 2017/2018 season till date save 2019/2020 when he was loaned to Mainz and 2020/2021 when he was out due to injury. That was on the run of 5 goals and 3 assist. Which 3 or 4 years are you talking about? Do your mathematics well. grin

Lastly, Union Berlin finished top 4 last season ahead of Leverkusun and we know Taiwo played for that same team prior to that season. cheesy

Besides, Leverkusun no bi top club until they win the league. Nottingham forest has more laurel than Leverkusun. grin

Your koroko eyes no correct. grin

I like Awo a whole lot. He has similar playing style with Osimhen but Boniface is more unique because he is a creator, dribbler and a decent finisher

Awo just like Osimhen are the type of strikers you can deploy upfront as a single front man if a coach decides to play a more defensive tactics. Awo and osimhen are good in the air as well as physical enough to muscle and out pace any CB in world football currently. Both are just like ex CIV and Chelsea hitman Didier Drogba and current city goal poacher Haaland

Bony on his part will suit in an attacking formation. He is skillful and good in tight corners, he drops deep to create and switch to the flanks when required. To me this makes him more complete than all the strikers we can boast of currently. He is the type of striker who can unlock the defense of a highly disciplined and defensive side with his skills and creativity

Bony is similar to the likes of Kane,Benzema and to an extend Zlatan etc.
That is my point, only replacement for Osimhen if we want to do it with lone striker is Awoniyi….Boniface has given us options just like Westerhoff had Siasia/Amokachie and Keshi had Ideye, now left for Peseiro.

Even Sadiq is technically better on the ball than Osimhen but he lacks the body-ball balance and his center of gravity being high doesn't help him at all. Too easily shifted off the ball.

Boniface like Osimhen are solid on the ground with excellent body-ball balance ratio and with a balanced center of gravity, they are monsters to shift off the ball.

Boniface is better technically but Osimhen is ahead of Boniface in finishing, aerials, and in also how he (Osimhen) can absorb pressure/contact on the spot before spinning away. Boniface needs to have that on lock.
A few other technicalities and physical attributes to discuss as well regarding these two but I don't wanna turn it into a huge comparative lecture like I did for Osimhen vs Haaland.

chrisooblog:
Egbon if we're talking ability on the ball then yes he surpasses Osimhen. The area where Boniface has to catch up is goal scoring.

Osimhen is a born goal of scorer but the things I've seen Boniface do this season so far yen will make a believer out of anybody.

Okay, Forgiveness and the rest of the house... kindly answer this honestly and to the best of y'all ball knowledge.

Based on player profiles and personnel synergy, who among these CF options look the best to pair Osimhen up top? Take into account the various tactical variations and their contributions to the 2nd phase plays.

- Kelechi Iheanacho
- Taiwo Awoniyi
- Victor Boniface
- Sadiq Umar
- Terem Moffi

Note: I don't even expect the same answers coz ball knowledge levels differ and perspectives on why some pick A or B would sound legit.

I will go for boniface / Sadiq umar …but if a fit isaac success is among ur list ,I would av yanked off umar and put success instead 🙂

Another big part of player/talent assessment is mental profiles.
Among our strikers, it is clear Victor Osimhen leads the way as the biggest Mentality Monster. His mental profile is so beastly high.

This is partly why when Osimhen plays, you just know coz you see "the presence" of a genuine attacking force keeping your backline honest for the entire 90+ else one slip will see you punished.

Cos I listed Osihmen, Iheanacho, Boniface and Awoniyi as the strikers going to AFCON, you intentionally omitted Awoniyi to make it look different from mine. lol!
How could anyone reasonably not list Awoniyi as a sure bet to AFCON if not agender?

Baba let us leave sentiment out of this. Technically only few strikers in the world today are better than Boniface! Facts!
I watched both keenly. There are several times Awo get lost in games due to his limitations but Boni will keep you on the edge of your sit for solid 90 minutes (skills, faints, passes, dribbles, control etc). You will see Boni in different position getting involve in the game as 8/10/9/11/7. No dull moment. Boni is a different kind of beast! Find time to watch him in the Leverkusen team this weekend. Value for money!

The grouse is Boniface being ahead of Awo. I think that is majorly what Forgiveness is crying about.😂😂

I gave him a chance to pick who would pair Osimhen and he backed down. Lol

We all know Awo is Afcon bound but in my own list of secured positions for the Afcon so far, I am going with 100% certainty so he is not included yet until I see his name in the November list as a sign of his return.

But it's true naa. Osimhen only got injured but we know when the Number 1 striker of the Super Eagles would be back. He is Afcon-bound already even as we await his recovery and return to action before or by December latest. A 75% fit Osimhen is getting on that plane.

Recently, my son's team won AMAC competition. One of the coaches in his club scouted him and 6 other players to play for his personal owned club because his own players are overaged.

One player from the original club is very fast and technical but he is a very selfish player. He would rather dribble or shot than pass to the nearest player.

At the end of the competition, he was chosen for national team u15/16 and he won the highest goalscorer of the tournament though missed several glaring chances.

On several occasions, the team were almost knocked out of the competition due to his selfishness but miraculously, they won the tournament.

Back at the main club, he was immediately pulled out or told to keep once he displaces his galala dribbling.

The last league match, the club lost the match because he refused to past on several occasions.

No doubt, he will go up but how far? European football has gone beyond that.

Technical ability is good but in modern football, tactical ability is over everything.

Messi and Ronaldo wear both technical and tactical in their early years but as they grew, they became more tactical.

But most Nigerian thinks technical ability will make you world class player. grin
