Didn't realize there were conflicting times. Nigeria is 2 hours ahead of Ethiopia so it's easy to put in perspective once a time is confirmed. I realized that the NFF also didn't include time in all their releases. Google says 1:30pm, but we'll have to see early tomorrow to be sure.

Even flashscore da show 3:00pm😂😂😂

Ethiopian FA playing mind games. Make God help Super Falcons tomorrow because with that bad pitch I saw, I pray our girls don't get wounded and the weather is favourable. Most of our girls are Rockies like Esther Onyenezide, Ajakayez Comfort Folorunsho and co. May God help us to win ooo

They will be playing the match at the Abebe Bikila stadium in Addis, which has a decent enough field.
It was recently upgraded this year by a Chinese firm and passed recent CAF inspections.
We should be okay.

Which begs the question...
Who's dumb decision was it to invite Onyenezide, who is an attacking midfielder, when the team doesn't have a single DM?
The team currently has Payne, Ajibade & Efih who are all AMs. Of what use is another AM when you don't have any DMs on the roster?
Wouldn't it have made more sense to invite the U20 girl (Chinye Kalu) as backup?
Just plain dumb!

At this rate, either Nicole Payne or Michelle Alozie or even Oshoala might have to play as DM. If those coaches had any modicum of intelligence, they would have Oshoala play as DM, since she was once a DM and fully understands the role.
Deltamani:

Nothing to write home about at the Center Back Position, Only Demehin at least there are Full Backs ( Alozie, Nicole, Imuran and Jumoke)

DM zerooooo, All the midfielders available are attacking minded.

Upfront is pretty very Solid

The last time oshoala played as a defensive midfielders was 2012 that's like 11 years ago seems to me you're more clueless than the coaches

FYI...that was in 2014. She was converted to a striker in 2016.
If you knew anything about football, once you've played a position at one of the highest levels with great success, it sticks with you.
Its called versatility. That's why some of the greatest players are able to play multiple positions seamlessly. Talk about being clueless!

So you're telling me after oshoala exploit at 2014 u20 world cup as a striker she went back to play as defensive midfielder ? at 2014 AWCON oshoala led the line with oparanozie at 2015 world cup she formed the famous front with oparanozie and ordega ...did you start following super falcon in 2016 ?

I beg to differ that's only applicable to some positions on the pitch maybe like DMF to CM or DM to CB , RB to LB from CF to DMF after over 10 years is wild if you want to makeshift a striker it can only be 3 positions LW,RW and AMF

The best player for the DM position right now is between Rasheedat Ajibade and Peace Efih… a Double pivot of their two would not be bad… then Tony Payne in front of them..

Or they go with the old 4-4-2 Ajibade and Payne in the middle flanked by Babajide and Monday Gift with Oshoala and Kanu upfront..

Ajibade or Efih can play there but if they get injury no replacement

Let’s not hope for injuries though, the best decisions the NFF or Coaches handling this game would have made was to bring in Chinyere Kalu who’s more like a junior Christy Ucheibe who would have done the job well and also gain more experience at the senior level, her huge physique would have helped a lot too..

But incase of injury Baby Comfort might be moved there

. With the Players we have right now and lack of DM they should just go for that 4-4-2 ( Ajibade and Payne in the Middle… then our pacy wingers on the Flanks ( Babajide and Co…)

Ajakaye can come in late in the game to use her pace to cause more havoc from the Flank..

Alozie and Efih as Full backs with Nicole Payne their Alternative..

I believe in my girls’ – Ethiopia’s Firew Hailegebriel not fretting over Nigeria’s pedigree

Head Coach of Ethiopia women’s national team, Firew Hailegebriel is confident of his girls churning out decent result when they take on Nigeria in the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers in Addis Ababa on Wednesday.
The Lucy will host the Super Falcons at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa in the first leg, second round of the qualifying tournament after they saw off Chad with a 10-0 aggregate win in the first round.
And Hailegebriel admitted that the highprofile and foreign stars in the Super Falcons fold but he insisted that his well motivated girls have all it takes to match the West Africans for strength and qualities.
“We have been preparing well for the last seven days, we knew they have player from the top league like Barcelona and PSG but football is all about performance,” the former Ethiopia U20 women coach said.
“You can’t win a match because you have only top players, our players are also good the only difference is they didn’t get the chance to play abroad.”
The Ethiopians face an uphill task against the Super Falcons following its back-to-back second round finish at the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
However, with Hailegebriel acknowledging the threat Nigeria’s individuality poses, it is quite clear his team is aware of the battle ahead.
“I’m sure we will get a good result from tomorrow (on Wednesday)’s game, I believe in my players,” he continued.
“We know that they were good in the Women’s World Cup in Australia but that doesn’t mean they will repeat it tomorrow (on Wednesday).”
