The thing is many of us here derive joy in talking down older players just to promote a new, untested player. It has always been like that. It is that new untested player that is always the best player to them.

Eguavoen bowing to the pressure of fielding too many new players in our starting 11 against Ghana in Abuja was largely responsible for why we couldn't win that game.
Sincerely am not against younger players coming in but they just need to tell us that they are better, just check out Osayi and recently Bruno.

How did you mean one is static and the other a roamer? If Osimhen is the static one, why not bench him for Awoniyi while Boniface roams, after all, the EPL is better than Serie A?

Or better yet, bench Boniface in order to play two static strikers with no one to roam. Oga you can not leave out your player that plays in the EPL just because you want a balance and a stable team. Don't tell me that please. 😡
Oga Chris stop getting at my boy in the name of sarcasm 😵‍💫cus I remembered when he celebrated his goal against São Tomé with John 3:16 inscription on his shin guards you came out to condemn the celebration style…wetin my boy do you Oga Chris, pls leave him out abeg or else I will engage Mujtahida or Safarigirl to sue you o Abi make we use Sharia flog you with 100 koboko😁

Funny enough, many of us were hoping Osayi would come in and compete for the wing position when he first burst into the scene in the championship... Until Fenerbahce converted him to a right back

Osayi style of play showed that he was a thorough winger, reason why he join the attack often….I don’t mind seeing Aina at the back and Osayi in the front…it happened in the 80s with Aimsemeaka and Owolabi.,also 2002,Babayaro and Udeze.

Ethiopia 1 S. Falcons 0. The goal was from a corner kick. A Nigerian is now the coach ooo!
Playing Alozie at left back and N. Payne at RB! lol!
You criticize foreign coaches only to employ a worse Nigerian.
The Ethiopian passage of play shows they know what they are doing while Naija own na vibes and insha...

Better hold Paserio tight cos if you allow him to be sacked na Salisu dem go employer. No talk say I know warn you ooo!!

Simple question, has Bassey done enough in eagles to put stop to Omeruo invitation.

In my opinion YES

Bassey had had some setbacks but overall he is much better, particularly playing as a LB.

Omeruo has had some terrible in games and he has never been a man of the match just average and mostly below average.

He has not had any real competition.

As it stands Omeruo on wouldn't get into a Championship side considering by the physicality, intensity and speed.

You know the honest answer to Kog45's question is a BIG NO.

Bassey has actually not done enough in the GWG to put a stop to Omeruo being invited.

Be truthful!

@Emboldened... Another untruth. Leon Balogun featured in the Championship at age 33/34 and he has never been as fast as the intensity of the Championship. He did well. So It's an Omeruo who won't do enough in the Champ?

Even Jamilu Collins is doing well in the Championship as things stand and u never rated Jamilu either.

these nff fellas have forgotten that the era in which you can just appoint someone to be coach and we will win the match is far gone. Female football is growing and we are already getting left behind cos I don't understand why we are drawing against Ethiopia for the love of God.

We are left behind. Just look at the women's Champions League in Africa. We declined further by failing to qualify even when we hosted. A team from Ghana still came to beat us. This coach we have appointed is on what merit. If our local coaches aren't winning the African women champions league I believe they have no say in the national team. Likewise our male team. We need coaches who can always get to the semifinals of the African champions league. If our local based or home-based players are not dominating Africa then there is no point bringing them into the national team. If it is a management problem then there shouldn't be promotion for state board managers to the glass house. To whom much is given much is expected.

They scored a goal wrongly called an offside by the ref.

Nigerian coaches are stupid set of people. No amount of badges earned can erase their mediocrity, they’re mot different from Nigerian Referees. Your Team scored a clean goal that was disallowed and you stood there like nothing happened? What about protesting to the Linesman??. Even if it’s not going to change anything, make your displeasure known and change am for them, and wait for what CAF/FIFA has to say after reviewing the robbery.

It’s same with all Nigerian National Teams, They don’t protest on pitches for fouls being committed against them to earn the opposition cards, and they tend to play on like it’s nothing. When your teammate get fouled in the opposition box you won’t protest to atleast make the ref fear small and review. You just carry on. This thing dey vex me. You dey play football with fear of God, it won’t take us anywhere. Timidity no dey win match.

I'm still annoyed at the way mikel behaved against Argentina in 2018. He was holding back ighalo when we were protesting for that Argentina handball in the box. Talk and stand your ground. Liverpool talked and now referees double-check before they give any calls against them.

And England with 99% players in EPL are yet to taste world cup final since. Is everything about football about England? By this your logic, Sunday MBA should not have been close to the national team that year. And Enyeama should not have been our keeper while still at Akwa United.
It’s not just about EPL but the quality of league. The difference between the big 3 leagues and lower league is a huge difference

Next up? Target a fields medal by solving one of the 6 remaining Millennium problems in maths. Solving one wins you 1million dollars from the Clay Maths Institute. This sum is separate from the Fields Medal prize money awarded to Maths gurus under 40.

I charge you today. Go forth and thrive to make history. I gingered my bro on these since a couple years now since his undergraduate days but he hasn't cracked any just yet. 😂 Maybe one of Navier-Stokes, Riemann's or Hodge would bulge eventually. You never know.

The EPL is the best league in the world 🌎 but it's also the most diverse, its an international league with players from all over the world.

How many English players do you have in the EPL , look at the top teams, Manchester City can Field a team without a single English player.

So England not winning the world cup has no bearing on the quality of the league.

How many Brazilian, Argentine, Dutch, French players play in thier domestic leagues.

You are misguided with lack of knowledge.

What constitutes doing well in your dictionary.

He is playing in Cardiff, is he outstanding in the league, how many goals has he scored , how many MOTM awards, assists, goal scoring opportunities created ,etc ❓

Actually none.

Well he is playing now after such a long injury lay off, if just playing means he is doing well.

That's not my definition.

Custodian of knowledge, you have a track record of worshiping anything EPL.

Your post implies the following:
1) English players are trash and hence cannot be found in top teams like Man City. But this is not true.
2) Being the best league in the world does not mean that some players in other league are not better than some in the EPL. Alluding to the contrary is error in reasoning - because EPL is best league therefore every player in EPL is better than others in other league.
2) that the league is diverse mean some players may not b so good but found themselves there. But the post I responded to said once you play in EPL that you're better than any other player in another league.
3) Of course England not winning means there are other things asides just assembling stars.

I've not seen a world cup winning team predominantly made of EPL players but I've seen one from the other top leagues - Spain, Germany and Italy. This is not to say that they are better than EPL but to show you somethines the best are not in EPL. Messi, CR7, Iniesta etc played outside EPL at their peak.
