How about truck driving for someone on Visit Visa

It’s good if you get a company to hire you.

Hello House, I’m scanning and uploading documents on the portal for visitor visa. On the section where it says “Employment Letter (Current)” I notice that they are asking for a Canadian employment letter maybe for those applying for a work visa. I don’t know if I should upload my local(Nigeria) employment letter/business documents under this section as the space for additional documents would not take other documents which I intend to upload like accounts statement and property documents because of the 2MB file limit.

you need a full drivers license to get hired by truck companies. You cant get the license whilst on visit visa. So a dead end.

I don't think it really matters. When i applied about three weeks ago, I uploaded my naija letter of employment there due to space constraint. I am still awaiting feedback on my application from IRCC.

However, I properly labelled the file as "Letter of Employment in Home Country".

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by cutelukz: 7:17pm On Oct 26, 2023
For PTA: https://www.tradesystem.gov.ng. For KLM if you want to book by yourself,, you have three options: Pay at the bank with cash(only dollars), pay with bank transfer(dollars) and pay at KLM office using your dollar card. You'll be charged $15. You can also use 3rd party sites/agents if you want to pay in Naira.

My uncle put down 30k Canadian cash for my cousins international fees each year with boarding. He's been getting a visa ever since. So I can't answer your question but that amount gives you an idea.

This is the wrong place to be asking that question because people on this forum will discourage you and you will not achieve anything. Now back to your question about truck driving. You can get a Canadian truck license while on visit visa I repeat don't let anyone discourage you. First before you travel to Canada get your Nigeria G license and driving history from frsc. When you get to Canada you will enroll for a g1 license when you get that you will skip the G2 because you already have your G license from Nigeria, then you enroll for the G license in Canada. With your Canadian G license you will be able to enroll in a trucking school over there. And believe me an LMIA job is always waiting for a truck driver over there. Remember you need money to do all this so travel down with atlease 8k cad. Like I say don't listen to anybody that want to discourage you in achieving your dreams. I know bad belle people will still come here and say rubbish I dey wait for una

Thank you for this information, I'm actually planning on traveling to Canada this December on a visitor's visa with the plan of getting a truck driving job when I get there, I'm currently learning truck driving in Nigeria ( straight truck) and will get all the neccessary Nigeria license ( class D, class G and international driver's license) I will like you to clarify something for me there are 2 types of truck driving licenses in Ontario class AZ and class DZ. The class AZ allows you to drive truck/tractor-trailer while the class DZ allows you to drive straight or articulated trucks (which am currently learning) and getting the class DZ license in Ontario is a little cheaper (about 3k CAD based on my enquiries) than the class AZ. My question is, is it going to be easy to get an lmia approved job with Class DZ license compared to the class AZ which you're obviously referring to in your post and will my experience in Nigeria make any difference while searching for job?

Please stop misguiding people. I will state it clearly you cannot get a driving license in Canada without legal resident status (Study permit holders, work permit holders and permanent residents are legal residents in Canada). A visitor can use their Home country driving license for a few months (it depends on the Province - some allow for 2 - 3 months). To be able to get a province driving license, you need to have a legal resident status. Another way is to get an International Driver's License to be able to drive longer. If you are planning to drive a truck, you cannot do it without getting a province license. Canada does not have a federal license, each province issues a license.

Go for the AZ it much better because that were the main bucks is. Some trucking school charge about 5k for that. And if you don't have the funds for that, you can go for the DZ and start from there. Let me give you a hint as you are learning the truck in Nigeria don't forget to make allot of video of yourself driving the truck. After you have you certificate. Most trucking school will refer you to employer and the company will always want to ask for experience. With proof. This is were the video you have make about you driving truck will comes to play. You show them the video and trust me you will be employ because truck driving job is in demand job all over Canada company go rush you. Na you go tire for work

Bad energy pls stay away from my post

Most Common Reasons for Canadian Visitor Visa Refusal
There can be many reasons for a visitor visa refusal including but not limited to:

The unclear reason for the visit
Insufficient personal assets in the home country
Vague or inadequate documentation supporting the case
The unstable employment situation of the applicant
The disconnect between the length of stay and the fund’s availability
If strong family ties are present, an individual application may be refused
Lack of travel history
Lack of supporting documentation of host (Canadian permanent resident or citizen) in Canada
Any previous overstaying history in Canada
Lack of legal status in the home country
Other possible reasons
Understanding Canadian Visitor Visa Rules
TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) is a detailed visa screening process with a standard processing time ranging from 2 weeks to 4 months.
