I am not making excuses for ETH but assuming he started implementing any style of play from day one, he would have been sacked by now because he would not have won any trophy and fans want the trophy fast .

I think I'm sitting on the fence in terms of believing in him and otherwise. However I still think he deserves till the end of the season even though I'm frustrated too. I stopped watching after the second goal cos I knew there was no way back. In fact i couldn't see how we would score a goal.

Personally, I would have taken an unambiguous style of play to anything we achieved last season. It's my belief that a clear system would have covered up for some of the players we are angry with now. It's a systemic sport and I think that's the reason why some of our players played/looked better in their former teams. Players look outstanding in their former teams but once we buy them, they become awful. That says a lot about us and our managers.

We DESPERATELY need a world-class and effective DOF with sound strategic knowledge about football. That position isn't just an administrative role.

I agree with you. I'll take a very clear and positive style of play over anything we achieved or think we achieved last season. ETH has his chance to build a team for the future and he is making a mess of it. There was no pressure to win any trophy last season, and even this season

We played some good game last season. We were also terrible (by my standard) in many games. I remember some of us complained a lot last season. I remember dragging with odizeey where he said once we win a trophy we will play better, and that trophy is all that mattered now. We won that trophy and became worse. If everything was good last season, why did we have a lot of complaints last season? What we're experiencing now did not happen out of the blue. There was a steady decline from that same last season. We were close to top 2 and then we were at the risk of losing top 4. Its not like we were playing top teams that period.

ETH has not addressed a key part of this team which is the midfield. His signings have been all over the place. What exactly is his role if we're to turn things around? At what point will ETH become strict and bench the likes of Rashford and co? Garnacho is slowly losing it and he may never achieve his potential. ETH had a very promising player and he is miss managing him. He had the chance to sign someone that can control the midfield, he bought Mount. He has continuously played Bruno in the wings when he is utterly useless there. He subs have been very baffling and his press conference now annoying. How huge is his role if we're to turn things around and can he be relied on to do that?

Something I've said again and again.

Let them sack Ten Hag today and bring in someone else. These same players will then start performing at another level. Manager will not be fooled initially but after a few weeks seeing them in training and on the pitch, he'll then believe his tactical prowess and man managing ability has come into play.

He'll then sign his own players that'll come into this hellball of a team then we'll be back here in 2 years.

The team needs a total reset. Shouting Ten Hag out means you believe simply bringing in another manager will have us challenging again. That's super naive.

If he had stubbornly stuck to the style of play, he'd have been out of the door before December.

He was only concerned about results after those first 3 games last season. This season is when he wants to start implementing a new style of play but unfortunately it's been chaos all through.

Want to play with a double 8 which means full backs tuck in. But Rashford and Antony look like bums without an overlapping full back. Not to mention Shaw and Bissaka have been out injured all season. That alone scatters everything.
