Cyprus well Europe.I thought Uzoho by now would be a force to reckon with but damn glaring he was not a real deal, imagine a 2018 World Cup with basic errors.

I don't blame him, the coach calls the shot

I was thinking this morning had it been Rohr was still super eagles Coach we would've gotten Michael Olise. With Olise and Iwobi in our AM role our midfield will be secured but this Pasiero doesn't know anything not even scouting of players and now he keep faith a goal keeper sitting on the bench weekly in Cyprus

Give me one example not two .

The basis for national team selection has always been outstanding consistent top level performance in your club and league.

With a proviso for quality of club and league, for instance, a bench warmer in Real Madrid can still be an outstanding player.

From the recent generation:
Chidera Ejuke
Emmanuel Dennis
Kelvin Akpoguma
Mikel Agu
Henry Onyekuru
I can go on and on.

What we saw before their Super Eagles invite was far from what they delivered.

Even someone like Ademola Lookman has still not lived up expectations.
I don't bring in sentiments on whether foreign or local born when I assess players. Let us see what Tella can do in the Green and white jerseys, ON AFRICAN PITCHES first before you start any comparison with Chukwueze.

Going by this logic, would you really say Tella deserves a call-up? He has been largely anonymous this season for Leverkusen and isn't a starter.

I don't bring in sentiments on whether foreign of local born when I assess players. Let us see what Tella can do in the Green and white jerseys, ON AFRICAN PITCHES first before you start any comparison with Chukwueze.

None of these players mentioned above have been consistently outstanding with top level performances for club and league.

So you are essentially agreeing with me.

In addition I could argue, none of them have had a run of games, but it's not a material fact.

Tella had an outstanding last season he is now in a team top of the Bundesliga and not getting any game time or a run of games to create form. In addition he has to displace in form Jeremie Frimpong, who is a Dutch international and maybe 🤔 better.

Chukwueze is in a better position but not necessarily good, he also is not getting much game time too. He has to displace Pulisic, who in my opinion is better ,more versatile with better end product.

So in this regard who is better for the SE is open to debate. In my opinion looking at Chukwueze past performances, he dribbles unnecessarily, poor crosser of the ball and his finishing is very suspect.

None of those issues that plague Chukwueze impact on Tella. I can assure he can cross the ball accurately there are basic requirements from academy football ⚽ more so in the Arsenal academy.

Most of our forwards are starved not getting good crosses. What's the point of having a " headmaster ' like V.O. and nobody can cross the ball with quality 🤔to him.

So it's time for Tella to be tried out and it's not a question of poor African football ⚽ pitches,it's about quality end product, football intelligence and work rate as well as helping the defence.

I agree in principle yes .

However, he was excellent last season has gone to a club that's top of the Bundesliga. And who changed a winning team.

He is going to have to displace the Dutch international who is cemented in the team Frimpong.

In comparison Chukwueze has also been largely anonymous in AC Milan ,it's quite obvious he has to displace the more versatile Pulisic.

It's possible that Tella is simply not good enough and or the Bundesliga doesn't suit him. Remember the torrid time Ademola had there , he leaves to the Premier League and the rest is history. He is killing it in Seria A currently.

So who is better for the SE for me is open to debate, but until Tella has a few games we will NEVER KNOW.

Back to the proviso, it's your consistent, outstanding top level performances in club and league that get you selected.

The number of caps is not a unit of measurement for quality, particularly in the Nigerian context. We had a Shehu with how many caps and a finished Echiejile who went to the world cup.

Because Chukwueze has had 30 caps doesn't mean he is better than anybody else.

I remember a Sone Aluko who was a quality player that got only 7 caps over 6 years even when he was in the Premier League.

Is Tella better than Chukwueze is not proven and vice versa until he plays and or gets a run of games. Or is there room for both of them 🤔

It mirror's what I have been saying for quite sometime, England is no longer playing kick 🦵🏿 and rush 🦶🏿.

They are training across the academies of the EPL and Championship on the deck technically proficient top quality players.

I was at an Adidas event with a few select players(12) from three top EPL clubs in the North of England. The players were all under 18 and they were really good on the ball technically proficient with good football ⚽ intelligence. They are the next best thing one of them was 14 and a few are of Nigerian origin.

Yes we need to appreciate Napoli for the role they played so far but,
with Napoli's current situations, with their current coach and the way they treated Osimhen recently,
He will no longer be able to compete with those boys if we are to be realistic.

Unless Napoli miraculously become a champions league contender, otherwise
he need a champions league winning team to compete favourably with those boys

well, this is quite hard, but we have seen very good wingers who don't necessarily win the award eg Neymar... Plus I feel, goal scorer are quite favored to clinch this D'Or.

Osimhen is a global star now, and should really be intentional about his next move. He should calm down and shop for a team that will favorably move his ministry forward.

A team that will consistently fight for the UCL and other major trophies, a team that is stable and would work with his skill set to enhance and improve his game moving forward...

Man city is for Halland
Mbappe is destined for Madrid
Osimhen can't afford to even be in Seria A in the first place to compete favorably with these guys.

I can think no further than Liverpool FC and Chelsea.

He should not bother about Man united at all at all, unless he is not ambitious and wants to win only carling cup.

Charlee, dem dey call you o. I am skeptical about Liverpool though just because of the way they line up in attack. Also Salah might move in search of Saudi $$$ soon and I don't see Osimhen as a Salah, Firmino or Mane type of forward. That said, Klopp once coached Lewandowski so let me not be too negative. I just feel Klopp doesn't care about out and out strikers.
