Only if you can get the renewed passport ready within 2 weeks and submit it before the deadline for submission.
ItzRay:
Hello guys good evening y’all, quick one.

I am about to submit my passport to lagos vfs for stamping, my course will start by January 2024 and end by April 2025 but my passport will expire by March 2025.

Should i renew the passport and submit a fresh copy to vfs for stamping?

Or should i go ahead and submit the current passport to vfs for stamping then when i land in Canada i can then renew it later and request for an extension to April 2025?

Why the hurry to get it back within a week?
Yes, you can submit a different passport for stamping
I will be leaving for Egypt with the same Passport on the 11th of Nov. and will not be back until 3rd of Dec. If I don't get it stamped now, the 30 days timeline would have elapsed by the time I return.

I don't mind travelling to Abuja if it will make a difference.

Please, I need a response, it is urgent...
You might be required to pay some money since you are submitting your passport in a different place from where you did your biometrics.

I will share a detailed report on the application shortly.

We used the old portal dou (it really helped cos of the documents we had to submit).

We used her job, business (not doing so well..and we stated it in the SOP that the programme will really boost her business), invoice of 2 plots of land (we did not do any deed of assignment nor survey), it is just invoice of payment.

We took pictures the day we went to see the property...just funny pictures.

Yes, you can submit a different passport for stamping

Is there anything that I have to do in this case, like raising a webform or sending the two passports.?
Or I should just send the newly obtained passport?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by gideon19: 11:14pm On Oct 31, 2023
Hi all, pls for passport submission to Lagos VFS, the number of applicants available is just 2 but I am looking at 3 passports.

How can one go about that, pls?

also, is it a must for the 3 applicants to go there?

Thank you so much for your response. God bless you
The University I'm applying to request for 3 letters of recommendation, on which must by my lecturer. Unfortunately, I do not have any of my lecturers in the system anymore.

bullstriker:
Your question shows you know little about Canada’s International Student Program. I recommend reviewing the thread or visiting IRCC’s website for basic knowledge.

1. You do not need PoF for a Letter of Acceptance from schools
2. A spouse is the best if the spouse is financially stable. A brother can be a co-sponsor.
3. Depends on the person’s qualifications and goals. Most employers in Canada prefer Canadian work experience to higher level of education.
4. There is no fixed amount for the proof of funds, as it depends on other factors like duration of studies, sponsorship and ability to demonstrate reliable sources of income. For example, if you are sponsoring yourself, you must have the tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of your program OR show funds for one year and a reliable source for subsequent years. On the other hand, if you are using a sponsor, you can show just the cost of education for one year, regardless of the duration of your studies

Tuition fee/year + living expense (10K) + cost of flight and transportation in Canada = Proof of funds.

5. Most schools do not require reference letters for post-graduate programs.
6. Anyone can make the payment for you. No explanation is needed.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Teminio: 11:22pm On Oct 31, 2023
Thank you so much. God bless you
The school and program require 3 recommendation letters

JMG12:
1. You do not need POF for school application
2. Self-sponsor and husband
3. It depends on your class of graduation and finances. If you graduate with a second-class lower, you will be eligible for college and PGC. PGC is 1 year. The longer your program, the more POF you will need to show.
4. A sufficient amount depends on the duration of your program, tuition fee, and the province
POF = 1 year tuition fee + 2nd year tuition fee + 1 year living expenses + 2nd year living expenses + miscellaneous
5. Not all programs and schools require a recommendation letter; you may have to check the program requirements before applying
6. Anyone can make the payment for you; the application fee payment doesn't require an explanation

I went on the 18th of October for my Medicals. About how long it took before I passed it, I don’t have an idea. My portal was managed by my Agent.

You can leave them blank. Alternatively, email them your personal information (as it appears on your passport) and a copy of your int’l passport to book it for you.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ItzRay(m): 2:03am On Nov 01, 2023
2weeks? 😯
Is that even possible? 😩

But then if i go for renewal, won’t the new passport have a different number from the old passport which IRCC used to process my application?

Or do i need to inform IRCC before and after the renewal before i can send it for stamping?

JMG12:
Only if you can get the renewed passport ready within 2 weeks and submit it before the deadline for submission.

Good morning everybody, I got my PPR this morning.

Thank you for all the information and supportive responses.
Summited my application September 20th
Biometric October 6th
Medical passed October 12th
Bvl October 13th
PPR October 13th

My POF was 28m (Globus bank) and 16m (GTB)
I’m 24 and I did self-sponsored.
My school is Langara College (Vancouver)

My POF was in both account for 4 months straight, I didn’t remove a penny and no lump sum.

Thank you all and I’m here to answer any further questions.

Wow Congratulations 🍾
Thanks for sharing
Please I need guidance as regards Applying for my study permit visa as well
I have BSC. Accounting
I got admission into Langara College, Course is Business Administration PDD(I am been advised to change the course to Data Analytics. Is this advisable to change now before applying for study permit?

I made my tuition deposit for May 2024 intake already

Also Concerning the POF, I need advise on how to go about it
My Uncle in USA (husband to my Aunt) wants to sponsor me but wants the funds to be in his Account and said the cash will be made available when I enter Canada. How best can I handle this situation (he is like the major sponsor)

How best can one show the accessibility and evidence of this funds in my application?

Also can My husband Co-Sponsor? If yes Do I still need to show my personal bank statement ?

Nb: I want to apply with my spouse and 2 kids.

What is the amount to show as POF for a place like Vancouver ? Can I follow the amount required in IRCC site which is 10k, 4k, 3k, 3k for living expense respectively for Applicant and other dependents?

Sorry for the lengthy questions
Looking forward to your responses🙏
Thank you so much

I would advice you to do an email to them asking them to book you for upfront medical, include your destination, a preferred date, your visa type and don’t forget to attach your passport- bio date page.
You won’t need UCI or IME to do this.
I’m talking about IOM not qlife(no sure I got the name right).
