It’s so obvious that our local farmers can not produce enough that can feed the nation. Buhari government banned foreign rice and blocked the border for our local farmers advantage.

but it so glaring that the border needs to be open. Rice was selling at 9500 before the border was closed and it rose to 40k plus after the border closure.

We shouldn’t play politics within everything please. The government should open the border for free movement of what Nigerians needs especially from Benin, Cotonou.

Insurgency and other security threat can’t make our farmers to meet up with the food supply in Nigeria.

He mentioned "we farmers" so you should understand his pain with Cardoso. He feels bad with CBN policies on on importation of rice, Anchor Borrowers Program and others. He was obviously a beneficiary of those policies under Buhari.

It doesn't matter the CV of the CBN governor is, what is important is the president's philosophy. Under OBJ leadership and policies, Iweala was very effective and capable of delivering critical monetary and economic policies. She was largely ineffective under GEJ.

Cardoso would be largely ineffective if he had Moghalu or Iwaela's CV. The problem is Tinubu and his circle of friends.
