My brother is about to get married on Sunday and just today, the girlfriend has been threatening to call off the marriage over a little issue. Let.her go ahead and cancel it now. Is he begging her? She will still call it off over time. The earlier the better. No dey let woman threaten you.

U don't threaten or give a man ultimatums like that. it is very wrong and a red flag if not properly handled.

if its not too important for him to travel to the village with her then let him go to work or let both of them wait and travel together later.

if the man threaten her with her job how would she feel? This is what the man uses to sustain himself and future family. if he can't get a permission to be excused from office on Tuesday he has to go. Let her do her worst.
