Osimehn played against Ghana home and away and much recently against Saudi arabia. He was missed but the difference isn’t osimehn. The team is imbalanced

bros i said minnowss…Ghana and Saudi are not minnows in today’s football..if you watch ghana vs Nig qualifiers you will know osimhen is mad hustler..with his pressing against ghana he even scored a goal ruled offside…if osimhen catch all this mumu small african team he will surely score or do assist

Keshi was given a chance after his heroics with the Togolese squad
If we can’t get a world class coach why not give Amunike a chance
Even Eguavoens game management skills are better than Peseiros
Much better than money grabbing Peseiro
Peseiro is a politician o
His words are usually neither black nor white
Amunike would get hungry home based players infused in where the team is lacking
He knows the soil & players properly
And I hope they give him same pay they give Peseiro else it’s a ridiculous package.
Sénégal, Egypt,Morocco, Cameroun stuck with their own
We are still looking for below par white man or Hispanic to solve local problems
His CV doesn’t cut it
Seems Pinick said he asked Mourinho & that was who the special one suggested based on the pay they could afford or countryman connections. World class coaches won’t take delaying their salaries etc.
Sponsor and support our own
They know the culture and problems
Maybe the problem lies with the administration because Waldrum complained too
I won’t be surprised if Nigeria struggle’s against Benin or South Africa.
Super Eagles would win game two because it’s in Rwanda & not Zimbabwe. Neutral ground unfortunately for the Zimbabweans.

Oh you forgot Osimhen failed to score a goal against another minnow Guinea Bissau in both legs.

So you think Osimhen is finding it easy under Peseiro, pls just remove São Tomé 7 goals from his goal chart and you will realized that Peseiro
is poor.

If we are missing Osimhen against Lesotho then something is wrong with our technical team.

The issue at hand is beyond the players but dummy Peseiro.

Guinea bissau has left the Minnows grade..they have played at the afcon and are now giant beaters..they are not topnotch but have upgraded to the level of Benin..if osimhen was present, he would have put more urgency and give assists here and there…our representing strikers are not it at all

Utter total balder dash.

What profile Consistent, Continuous, Poor low level performances playing in obscurity in dead teams for the past 8 years.

Going from one level of mediocrity to another. He got relegated last season now his team is in relegation once again.

He is getting paid peanuts less than what he got at Ponferradina now at Chavez, that tells you something. He is so good thousands of Scouts across Europe have not seen him. Na only you get eye 👀.

This campaign is dead on arrival

There are more factors than a player not having a big break in football. We need a midfielder that understands the art of pressing spaces. We need one who understands how to watch runners jn the team. We need a midfielder that understands positional play. We need one who reads passes of his opposition players. We need one well versed in using long balls to unlock compact setup.

All you keep talking is club progress. You hardly make tactical suggestions of how to improve our team.

As far as I am concerned, Kelechi Nwakali is a must and the earlier we work towards getting him into the squad, the better for us.

Switching play is becoming critical in tactical repertoire and it will just not happen overnight. We need to build on it.

We have loads of good forward players and we need a midfielder that will supply them the arsenal.

The difference between you and some of us is that we sit down to think of how we can tactically improve. How to improve our game play and how to solve problems of the team.

Yours is more of an agenda against a player. If you don't want Kelechi Nwakali, for goodness sake give us a suggestion of a deep lying playmaker that can help beef our short and long passing game.

It is not telling us Kelechi Nwakali is not earning big money or yet to make a big break in a club. Our problem is beyond that.

We need someone who understands the mechanics of the basics of the game. Who is rudimentary sound. Who wants to dictate tempo and has the ability to bring composure to our play.

What we are crying for is Kelechi Nwakali's natural quality. His attributes. How he sees and plays football. Telling us that he is not climbing the success ladder in his career or gets dropped shows you are devoid of the tactical view.

You attack the player but never attack the problem.

We need a natural passer in our midfield. A player built to play the mnemonic short passing game and well versed in the diagonal long ball play.

I have said my own.

South Africa leading Benin Republic by 2goals,a second win for South Africa in the next match will give them 6 points; if Nigeria fails to beat Zimbabwe, it Is over. Until we employ a competent coach our chances are incredibly slim. I know they will sack pasiero but it will be too late .
it is over? Game never even start. Why you dey do like woman sef.

What do you think of a coach that his team keep on missing chances in every match without solution….missing chances against Lesotho?
if the team keeps on missing chances then it's no longer the coach's fault.

I think we need to talk about how the passion for Super Eagles have died out in our lifetime. I've been active in a social circle in the last few days and not one person mentioned anything about Super Eagles.
Down the years it wasn't like this. You will know the result after the game just by watching the countance on the faces of newscasters after a game. If not for this thread I wouldn't have known we were playing world cup qualifiers.
What could have informed this apathy? Is it the economic hardship? cry
This apathy may have been responsible for the lack of seriousness on the players. Their attitude is not giving of a team desperate to have a meaningful impact at the global stage.

It's a reflection of the mood in the nation.
Players, fans, nff lackadaisical. Nothing matters anymore.
In addition, no TV station televised the match. Relied on Facebook to watch it live.

Why should South Africa play tomorrow?' - Peseiro slams Fifa over 2026 World Cup qualifiers scheduling

Published: November 17, 2023

Manager Jose Peseiro has criticized football's governing body, Fifa over the 2026 World Cup qualifiers scheduling, which would see the Super Eagles complete their November internationals a day after South Africa's opening game in Group C against Benin.

On paper, Bafana Bafana are Nigeria's biggest rivals of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and Peseiro is of the opinion that the South Africans have been handed an advantage by Fifa's imbalanced fixtures list.

The Super Eagles had just one proper training session before taking to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium turf to face Lesotho, bearing in mind that Tuesday's session was more or less a recovery workout as seventeen of the players named in the matchday squad arrived in Uyo on that day.

Peseiro acknowledged that these problems with logistics negatively impacted the performance of the Super Eagles players during their embarrassing 1-1 draw against Lesotho on Thursday.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, the Portuguese football tactician said: "We didn't prepare well, even the players didn't rest well because some players came on Monday, others on Tuesday.

"We could not train with intensity in that moment.Yesterday we trained but not with intensity because we must play today. For that I ask why the match was scheduled for Thursday.

"Next three days my team is going to play Zimbabwe. Why should South Africa play tomorrow, we played today. Why? I don't know.

"Our team is the best in the group, we drew but I think we will win the next match but our players must make sacrifices.

"They fought today. The ball didn't go in, bad luck for us. We are going to give a response against Zimbabwe even if we don't rest well."

West Brom central defender Semi Ajayi prevented Nigeria from suffering a devastating home defeat when he rose highest to head in the equalizer midway through the second half.

All these one na shalaye.

Algeria, Egypt, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Norway all played against weaker teams on Thursday and won. Belgium played a friendly on WEDNESDAY and won.

It’s not that we played Ghana or South Africa in an away match o. We played LESOTHO here in Nigeria and we couldn’t win. Even if they train for 10 days, they will still do their rubbish.
