So you want them to put the names of terrorism financiers in the newspapers so that what can happen? Which terrorists? BH? To what end?

When was the last time you heard of a suicide bombing anywhere in Nigeria? Bomb don finish?

In which town in Nigeria is the black flag of BH currently flying? BH tailor don die?

This same BH was blowing up UN buildings and police stations in Abuja just a while back. Where are they now? On break or on holiday in Dubai? Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso that installed military governments to stop BH. How are they doing?

You should stop frying your brain to chase down the government. A former ADC candidate is writing publicly to expose gaps in public finance. That's what opposition is. Unfortunately neither LP or PDP have people of such intellect. Instead they are engaged in online "hey hey" rabble rousing.

Please go to church and pray. Its Sunday.

This useless APC bastard thinks he has the fûcking right to dictate what the opposition is supposed to do.

This dunce really asked to what end and he thinks he's an intellectual.

Two weeks ago, Boko haram attacked a town in Yobe and killed 40 people.

But lets say terrorism has been fully defeated (all na wash sha cos only the significantly retarded APC fools like you and those with severe lack of critical thinking believes that crap) but let's assume we're all retardéd.

Why do you think the victims of the attacks over tbe years, people who were displaced, parents who lost children, children who became orphans and Nigerians as a whole have no right to know the individuals who funded the attacks?

Everything about 9/11 and the people who carried out the attacks and their financers are known. That's the beauty of transparency.

Now why in the world should anyone believe anything that comes out from their mouth when Boko Haram members are thrown in rehabilitation centers instead of prison.

You APC fools think say una wise. Next time focus on feasting on the shit dey drop for you to eat instead of focusing on how the opposition acts.

Unmasking Terrorism Financiers: A Crucial Imperative for National Security

By Abdullahi Musa Yaro

Re: FG Will Not Name, Shame Terrorism Financiers - AGF, Lateef Fagbemi

In a recent statement, the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, declared that the Federal Government will not name and shame terrorism financiers. Such a stance is deeply concerning and poses a significant threat to national security. The identification and exposure of terrorism financiers are indispensable in the fight against terrorism, and the government's decision to refrain from this crucial measure is a disservice to the Nigerian people.

Terrorism is a grave menace that continues to plague our nation, causing untold suffering and destabilizing entire communities. It is imperative for the government to adopt a comprehensive and multifaceted approach to counter this menace effectively. While military operations and intelligence gathering are vital, exposing and prosecuting terrorism financiers is equally crucial.

Naming and shaming terrorism financiers serve various essential purposes. Firstly, it acts as a powerful deterrent. By publicly revealing the identities of those who fund terrorism, we send a clear message that there will be severe consequences for supporting such heinous acts. This dissuades potential financiers and disrupts their illicit activities, cutting off a vital lifeline for terrorist organizations.

Secondly, identifying terrorism financiers aids in dismantling their networks. Terrorism is not an isolated act but a complex web of interconnected individuals and organizations. By exposing financiers, we unravel these networks, allowing law enforcement agencies to track down and apprehend those responsible for funding terrorism. This significantly weakens the operational capabilities of terrorist groups and impedes their ability to plan and execute attacks.

Furthermore, naming and shaming terrorism financiers helps to restore public trust in the government's commitment to combating terrorism. Transparency is key in fostering a partnership between the government and its citizens. When the government demonstrates its willingness to expose those who support terrorism, it shows its determination to safeguard the welfare and security of the people.

Contrary to concerns about potential legal repercussions, the government has the necessary legal framework to ensure that naming and shaming terrorism financiers is carried out within the bounds of due process. The Anti-Terrorism Act and other relevant legislation provide the tools to investigate, prosecute, and convict those involved in financing terrorism. By utilizing these legal mechanisms, the government can strike a balance between protecting national security and upholding the rule of law.

It is also essential to acknowledge the international dimension of terrorism financing. Nigeria is part of a global community committed to combating terrorism. By naming and shaming terrorism financiers, we demonstrate our commitment to international cooperation in countering terrorism. This enhances our credibility on the global stage and strengthens collaboration with other nations in intelligence sharing, asset freezing, and extradition procedures.

The argument that naming and shaming terrorism financiers will jeopardize ongoing investigations is flawed. While it is crucial to maintain operational secrecy in certain cases, this should not hinder the overall strategy of exposing and prosecuting those responsible for financing terrorism. Law enforcement agencies can selectively disclose information about financiers without compromising intelligence sources or ongoing investigations. Effective coordination and information-sharing mechanisms among relevant agencies will ensure that vital intelligence is protected while still advancing the cause of transparency.

In conclusion, the decision of the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, to withhold the naming and shaming of terrorism financiers is counterproductive to our efforts in combating terrorism. By refusing to expose those who fund terrorism, we undermine the effectiveness of our counterterrorism measures and jeopardize national security. The identification and exposure of terrorism financiers are essential components of a comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism.

The government must reconsider its stance and recognize the significance of naming and shaming terrorism financiers. This action will serve as a powerful deterrent, dismantle terrorist networks, restore public trust, and demonstrate our commitment to international cooperation in countering terrorism. It is time for the government to prioritize the safety and security of its citizens by taking decisive action against those who provide financial support to terrorist organizations.

The Nigerian people deserve a government that is unrelenting in its pursuit of justice and the protection of their lives and properties. It is only by naming and shaming terrorism financiers that we can send a resounding message that terrorism will not be tolerated, and those who support it will face the full force of the law. Let us stand united in our resolve to combat terrorism and build a safer and more secure Nigeria for future generations.

Imagine the despotic narrative. We have a bunch of unserious and wicked hearted persons that have found their way to leadership positions and the majority of masses remained gullible because of tribalism.

Indeed it is a sad situation. And this cuts across party affiliation. Pdp did the same thing under Jonathan. They found out those responsible and refused to name them.

Selective justice system. Yeah! It is a well known fact, the government is either the terrorist or knows the terrorist. How do you fight something you are part of? That's why war against terrorism in Nigeria is a hide and seek game. Terrorism will end when government is ready to end it.
