This Lagos is wild, I was on my way from osapa to unilag when I entered a big pot hole and my tyre deflated instantly, I parked by the road side to switch my tyre with the spare only for these touts/miscreants to appear from nowhere, they were 7 in numbers, they offered to help me but I said I'm okay with changing the tyre myself, I thought they would leave after telling them that but to my surprise, they were waiting.

After removing the deflated tyre, I went inside my trunk to bring out the spare only for these miscreants to tell me that before I can fix the spare, I will have to pay them money, I asked money for what and they said money for car break down on their road, I then asked again, where is your road and they said where I parked that i will have to pay them before I can do anything in my car. They hijacked the spare tyre from me and started rolling it away, I asked them, so how much am I paying and they said 10k, i said what! 10k for what and they said again for car break down in their territory, I looked around hoping I could see any government car or something that will pass so I can flag it down while they come to my rescue but I didn't see none then it dawn on me that I'm on my own and the only way I could sort this out is to relate with them friendly so I switched to my street OT and let them know we are brothers and I'm also a hustler like them and they don't have to be so aggressive, they then asked me how much am I giving them, I brought out 800naira hoping they will take it but they refused and started rolling my spare tyre away again, then I called the one giving them order to a side and relate with him like a brother with some kind of street slangs, he then realized I have some street OT too, then I brought out the last 1k in my car to add to the 800naira, making it 1800, he then collected it with appreciation for having a friendly conversation with them.

That was how my street OT saved me from this scavengers, now, I'm beginning to wonder if someone without this OT or someone so fearful encounter them, how will the person handle the situation without getting robbed or being beaten....

This menace must be checkmated before it gets out of hand. What's more than a robbery short for them not bearing u up in d process.
But that's d reality we find ourselves, I tell anybody that cares to listen, if u find urself in this situation, just relate with them peaceful and get out of the situation, even if u be Jet Li, u can't beat them all. Just one stab and the person is gone forever because of a few thousands. Never fight or quarrel with those guys.

Also don't forget map doesn't work well on that road too

Map will be shouting at 200metres take the exit when you get to the supposed exit you'd see a huge stone used to block the road

Also coming from the middle lane towards iyana iba there's an exit after barracks to link the service lane map doesn't recognize it too

Same thing with linking PPL from the middle lane

So if one isn't familiar with the route and you dey depend on map OYO!

Also the road on the service lane after trade fair enroute mile 2 is now worse
Potholes everywhere
See baba, all these places you've highlighted in your post above are not legal. They are spots and areas where the road demarcations were removed solely to ease the flow of traffic on that axis during the periods when the road construction was still ongoing around those locations. Of course you should not expect those areas to be left open long after said construction has been finished and the engineers have moved on further down the road and you should not expect Google map to realize it on time hence the reason why you're always running into big-big stones after hearing 200 meters ahead grin

The so called map I gave you in my prior post is the government verified road network available for motorists who wish to take a detour when on that route. It will be available for use both in reality and on Google map even till the next 50 years to come. It is part of the master plan the government and ecowas had for that road so nothing can close it down. The only thing that can happen is if they create new roads and detours along there but I fear they will have to demolish peoples buildings to achieve such a feat.

So try to memorise the information I gave you earlier. It will be useful to you for decades to come unless you don't see yourself coming along this way again for the rest of your life.

And concerning the bad patch of road you spoke of near trade fair . . . Mehn, so the only bad portion of road (highest 5 meters long) all the way from alaba to orile is the single reason you want to write the whole full express off? shocked

I understand you don't like driving this way but abeg sofly-sofly dey find fault with the location. There are hundreds of worse roads in this same lagos but surprisingly you'd have no problems transversing same just because you're already comfortable with those axis undecided

Liver kwa? Come there to do what?. There's nothing attractive in that axis..
I understand your view perfectly and its entirely your opinion which you are right to have wink

Fact is I didn't put up that detail for you, I put it up to dispel the insinuation that there weren't any detours or roads available to exit that express road. It wouldn't be useful to you but I know that the many other ANTs that will be moving lagos steady this season and onwards will need such information to make good decisions while picking lucrative trips on their apps which you decide to ignore cool

Plus what seems attractive to you might not be so to the next pilot. Some go on trips just because the money involved is worth it while others (like you) might be taking trips to some locations based on say the roads are paved with gold or huge mansions and sky scrappers with street lights adorn the sidewalks and the women all walk around with mini skirts along that axis (I am assuming this is your own definition of an area being attractive)

So baba chill, nobody will ever beg you to come this way. This way no need you tongue make una dey that una way make we dey our own kiss

Why not, if u enter Total/Chicken republic nobody will harass u there. If u drive into house on d rock street, nobody will harass u there. U can't damage the tyre in that short distance. Except it has gone down long before then, but Platinum way was just behind u, before Nicon. So U had options man.
