I have experienced such severally on the roads, especially on Lokoja/Abuja, Ogbomoso/Ibadan and Jebba/Minna roads.
Best solution
Release your leg from accelerator, hold on to the steering firmly and then apply minimum brake and then swerve to the right.
It's risky to swerve to the left because of the distance between you and the incoming front lorry can easily be covered and you need allowance to stabilize and recover back to the road. If you go through the right, you can easily recover back to the road without hassle.
Remember, it is risky if you apply maximum brake in such circumstance, hence, brake application should be minimum.
