If military and policemen could japa, they will also japa. You can’t cause people to work and not pay them well, yet you still expect them to give in their best. The only people who shouldn’t japa are politicians. If I had my way,I don move sef 138 Likes 12 Shares |

Xscape1993:So you actually believe that LUTH will lock five 150-bed wards, as in 750 beds? How many bed-capacity is the whole LUTH itself when you can ignorantly believe that 750 beds are unoccupied and locked? Smh. With your kind of negativity and ignorance which you think is cool, many of you will never be blessed by this land. All you do is give negative mindset and the land will reflect it back to you. Las las, the land will spit out every unpatriotic element, criminal defamer and cyberbully. 16 Likes 4 Shares

Are you then saying the House of Reps Chairman of the Committee is lying or uninformed? Do you have any factual basis for your outright disagreement with the House of Reps that exercises oversight of the health sector? Has LUTH come out to say the position is untrue or have you verified that there are no 5 wards shut down in LUTH due to lack of medical personnel? It is clearly stated in the news that the Health Committee undertook an oversight visit to LUTH and came up with these findings. Have you done same and had a different result? Assuming, without conceding, that your assertion is correct, why then am I not seeing some outrage from you against the House of Reps Chair of the Committee for speaking such falsehood and misleading the people? Why do you rather attack one who has reacted to the news and instead accuse the person of being negative and therefore not entitled to the blessings of the land? Either way, there is evident failure of government/governance so why are you unable to criticize the government for its lapses? FreeStuffsNG: 117 Likes 7 Shares |

You know Nigeria and its ingrained criminality! Even with the clear need for immediate employment/recruitment of more qualified medical personnel to provide necessary services, one oga somewhere will sit on funds/salaries allocated for these vacancies and rather see the hospital shut down with people suffering or keep overworking the available staff (which makes them to start planning japa too!) just because there is hardly any form of accountability. Either that or employment racketeering will be set up with officials requiring bribe or letter from above, seasoned with enough nepotism! How then can we ever get the best? OBTOREPA: 10 Likes |

Damn. LUTH's CMD was at Unilorin's induction in July decrying Japa. Quite surprising his backyard is even best hit. On the off side, though, dear doctors, stop japaring. It's discouraging and unkind. The government train you costly and you're leaving. Don't be callous. Dear Government, listen to the yearnings of the doctors and follow suit. It's a malady and malevolent stifling them of their full rights that makes it tough not to consider other options. Dear (possible) patients, for your sake, shun things that get you to be in the hospital, need medical help. Exercise right, drink water above carbonated drinks, shun alcohol, avoid smokes of first and second class, reduce sugar, reduce sun exposure, check your vitals regularly, think less to avoid hypertension but don't come out here constituting nuisance, reduce fatty consumables... Who are they raising the alarm to? The number of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health workers currently processing their documents to japa is way more than those who have left already. They haven't seen anything yet. They will continue to raise alarm 7 Likes |

The House of Representatives Committee on Health's concern about the decline in Nigeria's health workforce is valid and alarming. The closure of five wards at LUTH due to doctors and nurses relocating abroad underscores the impact of the "japa" syndrome on our healthcare system. Dr. Amos Magaji's emphasis on tackling this issue by improving infrastructure and making the sector attractive is sensible. Personally, I agree that investing in healthcare education and creating a conducive environment for healthcare professionals is crucial. The long-term approach, addressing issues from university enrollment to residency programs, seems like a strategic plan to mitigate the challenges faced by the healthcare system. 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG: So the House of rep committee members that specifically went there for inspection are lying? You did not attack the people that said it, instead you choose to attack someone else's comment abi? Your mouth dey pain you to attack the rep members because they are APC abi? You can't make this shiit up, some people came to this world to be willfully stupid, that is their God ordained purpose in this life, because I cannot understand how a human choose to support evil like a blind bat and think they can be blessed by this land, It is that "Free stuff" you go dey sell for the rest of your life. 33 Likes 4 Shares |
