Demolition happened in Abuja,Kano,Onitsha and every other part of Nigeria

Why is it only Lagos that you turn up to start asking foolish questions

This is a major canal not gutter, does it mean anybody can wake up and block a canal for several months yet the govt is unaware, it shows the corruption and inefficiency in the government itself??

Abeg shut up your mouth, there’s different between drug trafficking and building of a house, Sometimes you people don’t just think before engaging someone, If you’re building a house in a place that’s not approved by government the ministry of works or land and survey must be aware there’s a project going on in that area they will stop it immediately, I have a land in Benin city which the government order everyone developing the area to stop even those already built was demolished, this said building has been completed where is Lagos state ministry of works? Or land and survey? They ought to put stop on the project before it take shape, mind you next time just try and look my user name if you engage me anyhow I go insult you we fit nor be mate self but I do respect those who engage me in polite manner

In a sane clime,the govt will even extend basic amenities closest to your property before approval is granted. then one can go ahead with building. .. whatever challenges comes post approval ,becomes their sole responsibility to deal with or relocate you somewhere safer.

If there was approval, I would say he did no wrong!

Government needs to step in an take up their responsibilities. The absence of government in the affairs of Nigeria has really messed up this country, just as FG is doing everything to be missing in action from its responsibilities.

My grandma lives in Ifejika. From Haruna street, Kano street to Ifejika street is a mess. You can't have access easily to any of the streets that borders Main Market. There is batchers, kiosk, virtually in all corners of these streets, to the extent of the shop owners, apartment owners encroaching on the pedestrian path way to erect batchers to rent out.

If those houses are destroyed now, the "they hate us" people will say they are being targeted. But when the whole area is flooded as a result of no passage for water, they are always quick to mock Lagos on social media, saying, "see the Lagos Tinubu built."

Their latest tactics is to say that no building goes up without government approval, therefore the demolitions are illegal. Okay, provide the approval letter you got before you built on a canal like a ship, they go mute.
