MT:What do you mean inflation will kill the country? So people should keep being paid peanuts? Why do you guys keep supporting evils? Bag of rice is on its way to 100k, yet salaries had not been increased. So what is causing the price to rise towards 100k? |

Poster needs sense #30,000 minimum wage in Nigeria, you bought raw food of #8800, rent and others What is left? $$2000 minimum pay @ $10/h on average Bought $100 worth of groceries can keep you as single for almost a month. So which one is better? psalmsjob: |

This OP is a very deceitful person, on top of not knowing basic maths. Sometimes, silence is golden and it is not every topic that needs a counter one (especially a counter that makes zero sense). |

psalmsjob:You only analysed your analysis from the spending side and excluded the earning side. The work that you will do in Nigeria per hour to earn 10k which is approximately equivalent to £1 being earn per hour in the UK does not exist in Nigeria. Infact that £1=10k being earn per hour in the UK is some private schools teachers' salary in Nigeria. So, if one is earning 10k per month, you should expect him/her to spend it on a spot. But if the 10k is being earn hourly, there's no problem to even spend more than 10k on a spot. Some labourer working on site mixing concrete from morning till evening are not even taking 10k home after several hours of hard labour. Next time try to do you comparing very well |

psalmsjob:1 live chicken @3k na for your dream boss That 10k na some people's salary at the end of the month (Go n verify my claims from private school teachers) £10 is more than 10k naira & it's for 1hr work not even full day not to talk of 1month I love Nigeria but let's call spade a spade |

reddingtonblack:Because I'm on a higher ground let me just ignore your supposed insults and cut to the case ![]() In London which houses are more readily available (vacant) those of £700 or £1,480 How far off to city center are the vacant houses of £700?? A house of £700 a month in Nigeria will sound stupid to a worker earning #30,000 per month but pays his own house rent on yearly basis not monthly that the Bobo Londoner has to pay N700,000 per month out of his basic £1,600 per month which is about 44% of the salary whereas a similar house of a 2-room self con in same type of location in Nigeria will cost about 34% of N30,000 over a 12-month period. We have not factored transportation into the salary yet oh... Those workers in Nigeria that work on Saturdays earn more than the minimum wage for doing just that working overtime but Bobo Londoner will still get only his £10 for those self-imposed or sapa-imposed weekend and overtime works ![]() Why will a £10 an hour worker in London buy a cartoon of chicken can he afford it? I ask you bobo londoner friend ![]() Let's be objective about our country we are indeed lucky to be here break yourself from the yoke of abroad is better....Nigeria is more affordable to live in than UK....I talk ham again with facts ![]() |

As a student over here in Canada. You have 20 hours to work in a week. Let's do the maths: 20(hrs)×18(per hour) × 4(weeks a month) = $1444(Canadian dollars) 1444×585 = 842,400 naira( this is just average). Meanwhile, in Nigeria. I was earning just 100k naira per month. |

psalmsjob:Quiet! Your problem is poverty mentality.. Are the quality of the houses the same thing.. The environment na the same thing? The street na the same thing? The facilities na the same thing? Show me wish part of Nigeria fine pass the place the average people live? What we eat here dogs in overseas won’t even eat it… We eat rice with one small meat and claim food is cheaper in Nigeria… Make una behave una sef…. |

yesloaded:It is not everybody that works for £10 an hour in London some hustlers take jobs for less and you can't blame them.. Anybody you see working a 10k work in Nigeria is dependent on someone most likely someone earning a minimum wage or more from business or petty trading just as most civil servants in Nigeria do have side hustles. In London the pay is high but what you pay for goods and services is higher compared to Nigeria which makes the money almost worthless for them there its more like you having to work yourself out to sustain even buying those kind of food in the basket compared to when it is brought here to Nigeria to be spent then the money is big but here the pay is not high but it buys the same thongs with lesser effort to earn the money...I hope you get it sha ![]() |

jakeroberto:Don’t boda enlightening them.. They claim cost of house his expensive.. Can they compare the local houses we have here to overseas? Let them price house rent in Lekki first.. Even Lekki no reach anywhere for overseas.. Yet the house rent cost.. We shud compare house rent in places like Lekki, VGC, Bannana island to yanki… Not our villages or some one else’s village.. |
