We don't need academic statistics. My brother who travelled to the UK 5 years ago has completed two mansions here in Nigeria.

150k divided by 30 days = N5000
N5000 divided by 8 hours = N625

Then I ask you, can you get those items with N625 in Nigeria?

(Remember most graduates earns less than 100k per month and works more than 8 hours per day)

I agreed utility bills and others may be way too higher in UK but unlike here, you get what you paid for. In Nigeria , those on minimum wage cannot live 10% quality life compare to their counterpart abroad.

You lie. First, you can't finish all that food in a day, so it's impossible to keep spending 10 everyday. Second if he is staying in shared accommodation the rent might not be 800 pounds a month. If he is a family man, with both couples working and one extra job they can pay for a flat. If the flat is insulated, then the gas bills will be lower. Lastly the cost of living is not the same everywhere.
