Depends on the perspective of the person speaking. Employers tend not to like them, but Business owners love them. I'll speak based on my experience with them, as a business owner. Several years ago, I had serious difficulties managing various businesses I had set up. The staff dealt with me. Forging of invoices, theft of inventory, inflation of contracts, there's nothing they didn't do. The Nigerian workers were out to finish me. Like they say, "where person dey work, na there e dey chop, hence the name, workchop (workshop)". You sack and replace them, the new ones continue from where the old ones stopped. They will even improve their techniques of stealing so as not be caught like their predecessors. After trying so many methods to reduce all this, from utilizing tech and automating several processes, to involving relatives, it came to my realization that the only way to stop all this was to run the businesses myself, to be "on ground" always, but that wasn't possible. So I planned to start shutting them down and to focus only on one. I told a friend who was also a businessman about my challenges and plans, hoping he would be able to purchase some of the assets I was hoping to sell from the shutdown businesses. He recommended I hire indian management. I wasn't keen at first, but finally decided to try it. To put it shortly, I eventually got an Indian manager for one of the businesses and it worked like magic. Business began to be good. Profit began to come in. For the first time, I could be away and still be confident and relaxed that my business is in good hands. Apparently, the business troubles we had been having weren't because of "bad economy", it was because of "bad workers" who were out to build houses on my head. Today, the businesses are growing from strength to strength. All key positions are occupied by indians. If I'm starting a new business today, all key positions go to indians by default. I have recommended the "indian solution" to so many business people, at least 5 of which have adopted it this year alone, and it has been good stories since then. Not a single one of them has regretted the decision. The simple truth is that the average Nigerian is corrupt and is a thief. Those who have not stolen have not done so simply because of lack of opportunity. And that's why our country is like this, after all, the leadership is a representation of the citizenry. Nigerians are a bad people and have rightly given rise to bad leaders. Below is a post I made few years ago about this same issue. ultron12345: |

Lolz, Indians are not good managers in the sense, they are loyal to service. You'll enjoy them as your employees not as your employer. It's in their blood. |

The first contact I got from Indian company was to supply a sound bulldozer that wouldn't break down and that what they will pay per day is 140k, I will also be responsible for the feeding, accommodation and the payment of 10k daily to d operator. So I went to Uyo and PH to do a cost survey and the cheapest was 150k which was beyond d contract cost.So I called the manager and explained to him that to raise to 170k so we could make something as a company, the response I got was "my company cannot pay beyond that ok" So we declined d job. |

My babe is Indian They work and school 6 days per week. They only take Saturdays off. But they have so many holidays in India. Most of them especially the elderly ones do not like black people at all, they may tolerate your presence but You will know their heart and minds when you try to date or marry their daughter or sister or relatives. Some young Indian girls have fetishes to try BBC channel but they know they can’t be with you without being disowned by their families so they’ll tell you just one night stand but they have never tasted anything like BBC sweet in their life’s so you will impress them easily if you have 6 or 7 inches. The men especially stare at the girls who are with non Indian guys, they try all they can to convince the girl to leave you. Even while you are with your girl they’ll approach to ask her out and just try to cause trouble. But to be fair even Nigerian and African girls tried to break us up. They kept telling her ONLY negative things about Nigerian guys. As far as working under them, they expect above average performance. They LOVE competition. They expect you to always perform and your spirits to be high. They assume you should enjoy working. Most of them in India attach self worth, too much value to money and skin colour as well as caste so it’s the same outside India maybe not as intense. Basically they are just like us in thirdworldism We also value the same things but replace skin colour and caste with tribe, regionalism or nationality. Also they are the most nationalistic people I have ever met they keep praising their country and Modi, or respectfully Modiji sir, except for the punjabs aka Khalistani’s who quite a hand full are some of the most anti nationals I have ever met. Just think of it as Biafrans to Nigerians. |

ultron12345:I read the post you quoted some weeks back and as someone who had managed the family's business, I knew competency wasn't really the issue, but honesty. So, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't know how the Indians do it, but I am very open to employing them to run everything. Even if na to give them a stake in the company, no problem. |
