Hello what's the process of investing in a commercial paper? I Already opened a stanbic investment account but I'm not getting info on cp just their mmf and interest is 11%.
OR
Which is the best bank or investment house for treasury bills and at what rate will it be?

CPs are not an everyday investment like mmf. When it's available, the investment houses will advertise so U can subscribe and the duration for subscription is also short. Longest I've seen is 1 week.

CP is different from mmf and Treasury bills.

Last stop rate for primary Market for TB was 16.7%. You can walk into any bank to drop bid. Although not sure any bid will take place this year again as this week's bud will be the last for the year. You can opt for secondary market though

Yes, it's risky. That's why investors need to do his/her due diligence and as necessary questions where need be. That said, there are know brands with very high ratings that would not want to default in their obligations because it will affect their brand image. It's okay to go for.

Also, investment generally is a risk. That's why you get return on it. It's just to choose the one you can chest.

Can anybody just wake and issue CP?

I think its vetted before allowed to float and I still guess there are certain parameters used to arrive at the value they sort.

Mainly, the company must have assets it can liquidate to pay off if shit happens.

When was the last time you heard CP failed?

Let's stop creating fears, the risk is as basic as any other investment in the money world.

The masters can enlighten further and correct me where applicable.

Lets learn together.

Thanks

Yes, there is an auction this week. If you intend to invest it, just do it now. Anything later than now the week is gone.

I don't have the calender. The previous calender ended with the last auction. I found out from my bank that there will be an auction this week. Apparently there is a new calendar not yet released.

Even this old one couldn't hide his own tribalism
How could he have succeeded in hiding something that's naturally part of them?
You fools were lucky i missed this space when it was hot.
